Attention to Cupertino--- Magikid robotics Lab owner. I am working at Ad&c Design, we've been proudly providing professional signage services for over 15 years. We care deeply about every order, treat every project seriously, and always keep our promises--especially on quality and on-time delivery. In September 2024, we completed a custom sign for Magikid Lab. All design details--including size, color, materials, and lighting--were clearly confirmed by the owner, Brian, before we began production and installation. After the sign was installed, Brian later raised concerns about the brightness of the letters and refused to pay the remaining balance of $1,200, as stated in our signed contract. To resolve the concern, we proposed a simple and professional solution: bring the exact letter ("G") back to our office for testing. This would allow us to explore adjustments--such as increasing the LEDs or modifying the vinyl--without making changes 18 feet up that might not satisfy them again. We informed their manager, Ashley, and removed the letter with notice. We then invited them several times to our office to test solutions. They never showed up. Later, a second co-owner, Mr. Lester, took over communication and sent us a very aggressive message, offering only $600 and demanding we return the letter immediately. He then accused us of theft, called the police, and threatened to have us arrested if we returned to the site. He also warned that he would post negative reviews across Yelp, Google, BBB, and more, labeling our business a "scam"--despite never attempting to resolve the issue properly. He further threatened to report us to immigration (ICE), hire another contractor to fix the sign at our expense, sue us in court, and file complaints with the Contractor State License Board. These threats are not only unnecessary--they go far beyond what's reasonable for resolving a routine business dispute. We're disappointed--not just by the breach of contract, but by the unwillingness to spend even an hour to solve the issue professionally. We ask: is it really worth damaging someone's business reputation over $1,200 when we've clearly shown a willingness to fix it? We believe that mutual respect and professionalism are essential in any business relationship. Unfortunately, the actions taken by the ownership of this educational business--choosing threats and public attacks over simple, cooperative problem-solving--raise serious concerns. As a parent and business owner, I would personally think twice before sending my own child to a place run with this kind of behavior and attitude. We remain committed to finishing this job under the contract. If the owners wish to terminate, they must do so formally and pay the balance owed. Our son really liked the classes (he attended 3 or 4) so that part was good. The bad was when we brought him today, I was parking the car while my wife walked him in and the guy teaching the class told my wife that she wasn't allowed to stay during the class. Then when I got there, guessing it was a misunderstanding ... He had locked the front door and it was just him and the 2 little boys in there, when he came to the door he confirmed what he had told my wife, that it's parent drop off only.. I'm sorry, but I have a big issue with dropping my 6 year old off with some random Guy, and being told we're not allowed to be there. Especially with all the craziness going on in this world nowadays unfortunately... It's just not cool. Then to top it off, when I called the owner to let her know, she just told me that "well it says in our paperwork that you signed that it's a drop off location" like as if I was trying to get my money back or something... I don't care about the money, it's just creepy to lock the door to the location and not allow parents there while the little kids are inside. read more

Valeska and her team have been wonderful for my 6 year old son. They have been patient and supportive and he is absolutely loving his weekly robotics classes! He found it very tricky at first and was frustrated, but through the gentle and expert approach he is now confident with his coding and loves the builds he makes in class. I have my sons in this place, they had the worst experience of the camp, there customer services is worst that I ever seen , I send the what's app notification of Bel air area moms group and the both Roscomare Tk and 3rd graded to be careful of not sending the kids , my little one was kicked by one their staff at the camp. I am part of west LA moms group and notify them as well . They asked to send the kids in a time of LA fire when even the school is off because of air quality and evacuation. I am going to continue to notify people even for summer camp and classes . be aware of this place ! read more

This is a magical place for children! My son started at this school when he was 4.5 y.o and we have been happy members for about 1.5 years now. Unlike most other robotics or coding places we tried, here children not only learn to program and code but work with actual material and robots (all of them very high quality). Children build different projects with their hands and then learn how to code them. There are different stations in the room so kids get a chance to rotate between projects. What my son appreciated the most was that his work was kept untouched until his next lesson. He felt valued and inspired to continue working on his creation. I personally loved how knowledgeable the owner and the teachers are. They create meaningful and rich conversations around the projects. For example while building a bridge they would discuss foundation, stability, angles... etc. We appreciated the language that our son brought home... we noticed when he plays with his sisters and gets overwhelmed he says... "Ok everybody, let's take a 10 minute brain break and we will continue then " The interactions between the teachers and students have contributed a lot to his social-emotional development. Our son also attended a few camps. We are looking forward to go back again this holiday season. read more

My son absolutely loves this place! Not only is the program here designed so well that it makes my 6 year old son who has high energy actually tired (brain work!!!) but i have also observed great improvement in his listening skills and engineering abilities. He does legos way above his age group quickly, follows instruction books, and is interested in programming. He now completed two months of camp and continues weekly 1 hour sessions. Valeska and her team of instructors create a fun yet rigorous lab for coding and building robots. My son has been taking classes for several years, now, both after school and during the summers. I always know he's going to have a great experience when I drop him off, and that makes me happy too. The staff at the lab design a unique program for your child's interests and abilities, and that kind of focused attention is rare and wonderful. My son started at the lab with a dream of learning to code, and now he codes in multiple platforms, and absolutely loves building the robots, too. He is often there with a friend or two and I'm always so pleased by how happy they are when I pick them up, and how excitedly they share all the news on their projects! read more

I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately it was just not for us. The woman who runs it is just way too much of a control freak so if you are a busy parent already juggling a million task or do not have a personal assistant helping you manage your life. With all my child's other after school classes, I pay and then just show up as close to on time as LA traffic allows. Here, you can expect lots of confirmation emails and if you for some reason miss a class, to be publicly admonished for not reconfirming your child's enrollment. Also, if your child is under 5, you can expect emails from the owner about your child behavior and suggestions about how to better parent your child. When you push back, you can expect to be told you are being "defensive" and that you don't "value your child's education" But hey! If you like the abuse, you should totally send your kid here! read more

When I contacted her regarding this, she said that it's auto subscription and she has no control. Disputing with my credit card as we speak. Very unprofessional and rude to deal with. When you sign up your kid here, he is going to attend a unique class rather than all those typical classes that most of the kids attend these days! A very unpleasant and rude owner. We haven't started the lessons so it's not a review of the class. But I talked with the owner twice about the re-scheduling and she reacted very aggressively as if I had done something wrong. I can't imagine how she would handle young kids who need more patience. I hope she is not teaching actual classes. I purchased the passes that I need to use for the summer but after that I defiantly not going to send my son there. read more

Absolutely love this place! The entire staff and teachers are amazing and my 7 year old is doing GREAT! I have seen a lot of growth compared to the after school program that tried to offer the same class!!!! I love the atmosphere created here and how they make it fun to learn for kids. My son never complains and always comes back to tell me the new terms/fun things he built in class. He always comes in and out with a big smile on her face. Had a pleasant birthday party here and decided to send my daughter to summer camp. Boy, a big mistake. Few incidents occurred and disappointing noted how the staff ignored the situation and did not do anything about it. First, LA temperature has been rocking high 90s and over 100s and yet they have campers to have snack outside. Informed them, if it's too hot or my daughter asks to have the snack inside, it's simply ignored. Second, one of the camper was misbehaving and kept bothering my daughter. She had asked him to stop multiple times. Surprised that staff wasn't even aware of the incident and keep on eye him or even give him a warning. Later, the same misbehaving camper pushed my daughter so he can grab a robot toy first. Third, sent an email to them about what happened and again simply ignored. Lesson learned, this is not a good place for summer camp. Parents check out destinationscience for next summer. Offers much better STEM program. read more

My son has joined Magikids since Jan. He enjoys it very much that he never wants to miss any lesson. Coach Anton knows what and how to teach, his class is always challenging but fun. Angell and Echo know exactly what our new generation and kids need to learn for their future AI world. It is so amazing to see how much my son can learn about new technology and programming in Magikids. Magikid Robotics Lab did coding and robotics with the Gifted and Talented Education students at Leffingwell Elementary School in Whittier! I recently hosted my twins 7th birthday party here and the party went well. My girls had a great time and that is what is most important. The staff helped me set up which I loved! The kids were entertained the entire time. However, a confetti gun was handed out by the staff during the party and my friend's child nearly shot her eye, leaving a welt on her daufghter's cheek and I couldn't help but to feel responsible. Another girlfriend of mine left a negative review regarding one of the staff memebers being a bit harsh on her son and I do agree. However, as a mother I often find myself acting the same way so who am I to judge? Part of me was proud she was able to keep the kids in line and the other part of me felt bad for the little boy.
