It's not a table cloth and candle type of place but it was comfortable. The menu is huge, so many different dishes, even the drinks had a large selection of bubble teas, juice drinks etc so we had ice lychee and one colleague tried mango bubble tea. Waiting staff were all nice and friendly and got our orders right. Food didn't take long to arrive and was tasty. My colleagues enjoyed it too. Plus the bill for 2 courses for 3 people with drinks was lot cheaper than going to other restaurants. I asked about the loyalty card they had displayed on the table, and we were given a plastic card which does give 10% off the bill! I recommend it if you want a good and tasty meal, that is not like a Chinese takeaway but it does not have the frills of wong ting restaurant.

I then went to complain to a man behind the bar, I said I am not happy to pay for my meal, I will pay for the drinks but not for the buffet. He then went on to say you have ate the food so you have to pay, I don't think any business should demand a payment if they are serving you inedible food. I was absolutely appalled. I asked to speak to a manager and he said she will be in tomorrow, he refused to give me his name and the managers name. He said I could have the meal for half the price and that's it. If I have a problem I should come back when the manager is in. I have never been treated so badly in a restaurant in my life. Would definitely not return. Also the fizzy drinks where flat, the toilets where not clean. DO NOT EAT HERE!

And it is top notch. The best thing about this place though is their jiaozi (commonly called Chinese dumplings, though more like Chinese ravioli I've always thought) and noodle bowls, a bit expensive but you can't get vegetarian ones anywhere else in Sheffield. The only downside to jabu is their opening hours, I think they only open for business after 4 pm meaning no chance of lunch here. It is also normally very busy, which to be honest is great as if this place shut it would be Sheffield's loss.

This is a 'chinese fondue' restaurant…read more The basic concept is that you order little plates of various foods - veg, tofu, fish, meat, noodles - and cook them in a bubbling wok of chinese soup at your table. The staff are very helpful and will advise you about what is the best type of noodle to choose, how many dishes to allow for your group etc.

It was only round the back of Leopold square so we went. The buffet has the standard dishes from spare ribs, spring rolls, sea weed (you know it's not really sea weed right?) to Peking duck. I only had a few things which were fine, nothing special. I then picked some veg, beef and noodles and they stir fried it for me with a choice of sauce. I didn't have any other mains. I went for dessert, where I tried the strawberry mousse, mango pudding and jelly! My colleague from turkey had to photo my dessert as he thought it was funny that it moved .. I guess he meant it wobbles!! One colleague had the ice cream so another guy got one too.. But as he ate it, he pulled a face and went to pull something out of his mouth.. It was a very long hair!!! I mean long hair!! A staff member saw what happen and came over to see, and the boss came over. They apologised and said it was not made by them and couldn't have been in it when they opened the tub, and that it must been a previous customers hair. This must been true as it was a long greyish hair. They took the bowl away. They had offered to bring a fresh ice cream but it never arrived. Our Turkish colleague went over and he told the staff to give our friend a fresh ice cream ... As he said in his country they would be angry if that happened! The staff were nice, food was okay but it looks so much like a canteen rather than a nice restaurant to take friends and family. We had a laugh chatting together so it made up for the lack of ambience.
