These seats are so horrible. Cushy, yes. Zero room and your head rest leaves you looking awkwardly at the ceiling. When I say zero room, I mean maybe 4 inches and you have no ability to sit up. We went to see Superman last night . I am not from around here, my in laws lives in Idaho. It was my first time watching a movie at this theater. Prices are reasonable, but there was no discount for military . I am kinda surprised actually! I specifically asked one of the stuff how much time we have before the movie starts so we can use the restroom. He said your movie will start in 20 min , so we went to use the restroom. Normal movie theater. Tickets are sold on a kiosk machine and you select your own seats. Seats are okay in comparison to other theaters I've been too which have more leg room. There's various theaters therefore a good selection of movies and movie times. Concession stand is full of different options which you can also purchase at the kiosk and wait for it in a separate line. They sell blankets as well(which is super cool )! read more

I took my grandchild and her friend to the movies - paid for 1 senior and 2 kids 8 & 9 years old - cost $31.80. Purchased 3 small kids pack combo which included 1 small drink in each, popcorn and fruit snack, we added 1 bag of candy - cost $55.25. The kids packs were $15.09 each because it has a plastic theme cup and the box it came in was themed. We were not even seeing the movie that the box was themed as. I have always be against bringing in my own snacks but this makes me think twice. I get they need to make a profit but this is ridiculous. How can families afford to go to the movies. read more

Old theater that needs a renovation. Seems like they need to fix the AC because it was hot in the theater. The sound system in the theater is horrible. Worst experience I ever had at a theater. The people behind me would not stop talking, and when I asked them to stop, they started harassing me. The two guys to my right were obviously high on something and laughed loudly and inappropriately throughout the movie. I asked a manager to intervene, but she did nothing. Will never go back. My first time visiting this theater and I purchased a small popcorn for my son and I. I asked for a little container or something to pour popcorn for my son to eat only to be told they don't split popcorn. I would have to purchase a complete new popcorn. I hate that this is the only theater we have. I wish a better company would come in and put them out of business. They've got a monopoly on the Magic Valley and they don't try at all. We went to the Mario movie yesterday and it was literally over 80 degrees in the upper seats. They said they knew their HVAC was having issues, they couldn't turn up the AC because something about it wasn't warm enough outside yet? It was 70 outside, the theater was packed, and they still sold tickets? It's hard to enjoy a movie you paid over $80 for you and your family to see when you're sweating your butt off the entire time. And the surround sound is absolutely awful. I mean, part of that is not their fault because of how Atmos surround sound is encoded these days. The center channel is always too quiet, but at this theater they don't even try balancing it right. I don't know who their audio engineer is but they should be fired. It's almost like they don't have one at all. It's sad because I love going to a good theater. But more and more it just makes sense to wait for what you want to see come out on streaming, watch it on your own home theater system which is a better experience, the popcorn's cheaper, and you can pause to go to the bathroom. You only need to go to one of the nice theaters in Boise to realize how bad we have it in the Magic Valley. read more

Cinema 13 needs serious revival. My family and I have been coming here for many years and it just continues to go down hill. Quit wasting money on new seat and start fixing the real issues. Replace the popcorn machines fix the internet issues that lead to nonstop breakdowns on credit card issues. This place is becoming a joke. I used to bring family here at least once a week. It's just ok. I feel bad giving a so-so review because the staff is friendly. But the movie experience can go either way. This week I saw Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse and the audio wasn't calibrated properly. The music channel was too quiet so many of the emotional moments felt subdued (although it beats the crackling speaker when I saw Strange 2). Spider-man was probably a 2-star experience, although the movie itself is a very good 4 stars so I still enjoyed the movie. But today I saw Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 and that was a lot of fun, with great music, weighty sound effects, and a clear and easy to understand dialogue channel. I wish their theater quality was more consistent. Maybe they should pre-screen movies for staff only, and use that opportunity to properly adjust the audio and picture quality? I've been to quite a few showings where the movie has been too dark. read more

Price was ok for an afternoon matinee $7.70 ish I think but then they go and charge nearly $6 for a Small sprite, and then you get 2/3 of a cup of ice. Come into the theater number 13 then spend time Trying to find a seat without too many rips, or tears And stains. Now all the oldies have started coming in and they Make more noise than what kids do. Maybe this theater is not like the one you used to attend. Maybe the theater lacks in things you used to have wherever you moved from. But it's loads better than the one we used to have. Our previous theater basically stole money from the studios by forcing customers to buy "After Closing" tickets. Means the manager can take all the profit and not report it to the studios. So this theater has stadium seating, actual 3D (not some goofy, make-shift 3D) and digital projectors (I hate it when the reel caught and burned through the film)! So yeah, maybe were not "The Chinese Theater" from LA, but we are at a much better place and we should all be happy about it. At least we even have a theater. read more

I've tried so hard to like this theater but there's not many choices as in theaters here... just went on a night a movie came out and it was pretty busy. Last time I went was the night inside out came out and it was just as packed but SO HOT in the main lobby area. This time it was alittle better. I really wish they had old school theater seats... I'd prefer that over these giant couches where you literally have to step on people to get by because they have no where to put there legs for people to go by.... Everytime I've gone the cup holders are DISGUSTING. And the floors are nasty and sticky. Not just that you sit down and these chairs go so far back the person behind you has no room so they're constantly hitting your chair... then the person in front of you is going through the same thing you are so now your knees are being banged on.... I've always chose the end seat because I don't feel like stepping on poor people's feet because they have no where to go to let you by... now for the actual movie quality you could barely hear the talking in the movie. I was looking around for the remote to turn it up... isn't that the point of going to a theater? I didn't go to barely hear it... but I'll no longer be going here. Not worth the money. I purchased food items from the movie theater and was ready to enjoy a movie. when a manger or supervisor was getting my pretzel I noticed she had no gloves on so I asked she had a very bad attitude. I emailed to submit my concern and wasn't given much help my. issue is she touched the cheese with her bare hands wiping the excess off placing that container in the same bowl container and put the pretzel on the container. I didn't eat this item as it had cross contamination from her bare hands. very disappointed will not return the attitude received by simply asking for gloves to be used was bad poor customer service. Having a family member who has a serious heart condition- you'd think the cinema employees would be a little more understanding. On a rare occasion I get to go to the theater with this family member. However on any other week, we go more often. Often enough that I'd earned a free movie ticket AND free concessions. After getting into theater 10- the fan, or air conditioner, was so loud we couldn't hear the show. I went out 10 minutes into the show and informed them of the issue. About 35 minutes on top of that-they turned up the sound not only agreeing with the issue, but explaining why it has happened in the past. At least 1/3 of the show was gone, and we had no idea what was happening. Shortly after my family member I brought with me, began to have some serious heart issues, and I knew we were going to have to call paramedics. I asked the kids working there if they had a wheel chair. They said I could walk to Shop-Ko and get one if I wanted. I said there's no time for that. Can you help me walk them to the car? They firmly stated "No! This is a liability issue- you'll have to figure it out for yourself!" Wow! So rude and unconcerning. They never asked what was wrong- what they could do--or offer to call paramedics. Are people so afraid they'll be sued that they would rather see a loss of life before they help or assist? It's pretty much your typical movie theatre. $10 movie tickets & overpriced snacks. The seats are comfy & kind of rock back and forth. I haven't been in the "ultra cool" seats yet. The best part about this place is the $1 movies in the summer. We have finally had the chance to participate in that & it was really fun. Make sure you get there early tho because every seat had a little butt in it! They completely sell out! read more

A friend of mine decides to have a girls night with her daughters, one being 7 weeks old. She made sure they went when the baby was red and sleeping. She does breastfeed so if baby got hungry by chance, she would be able to feed her. Because it was PG13 she had to buy a ticket for the INFANT. This is so wrong. Now I remember why I can't stand this theater. It is dirty, people are rude, and now I find out they charge infants to sleep through a movie. So me and the wife decided to visit twin falls and we decided to go to the cinema at the mall in twin falls Idaho .. With COVID going around this was by far one of the most disgusting movie theaters I have ever been in. We went to see the courier it was a great movie but when you walk in the theater the seats were filthy dirty and you can tell no one had sanitized anything because you can smell when somethings been clean no smell means my wife almost just left and people were not social distancing Even though it wasn't full. Projector Sucks & Seats for Giants Watched Solo: A Star Wars Story in theater 13. The first 1/3 of the film is dark, shadowy, I'd seen it 2 days earlier and it was fine at another theater. At Magic Valley Cinema it was simply outlines on the screen. This is called a lack of equipment maintenance. Seats: I'm not small (6 foot with bodybuilder frame) and the seats were uncomfortable, cutting off circulation behind the knees. My 5' 6" wife was miserable. So keep all this in mind. read more

When the crowds are not too big it is fine but when it is crowded they are horrible. For such a nice theater they should be better equipped for the large crowds. No PA system or screen to update when movies are sold out or seating is limited make it challenging not to get upset when you stand in line for 30+ minutes only to be turned away. They allow all the underage kids in without checking ID's which makes watching any movie annoying. Their staff should check in during movies to keep kids in check when they are running around during the movie or being disruptive. The D-BOX seats are interesting but not really worth the money. This is the only movie theater in the area (though I have heard that they will be bringing back the drive thru movies this summer) and for being the only one, it is generally clean. In the summer they offer $1 family movies on Mondays & Wednesdays around 10am-- pretty good deal! They are welcoming of large groups. As most movie theaters, snacks are a bit spendy but still yummy! Do not go to this theater if your deaf. Me and my boyfriend have been here twice. Every time we went the closed captions stopped working the first this it only messed up once than it was fine but the head phone wouldn't work. This last time we went everything was fine during the preview and than as soon as the movie started the closed captions stopped working again. I went to have it fixed. I had two people cone back 5 time with new ones trying to get them to connect. It was awful. The lady said "you can go sit down and when they start working ill bring it" I said my boyfriend is missing the movie he was so upset that we only made it 10 mins into the movie before we just left and got our money back.
