This is my 10 year old grandsons barber shop and has been since his first cut. Sharon and another…read morefine lady barber take walk-in's, not sure about appointments. The day we were there (Friday afternoon) there was about 3 to 4 young boys and grown men waiting. Forty minutes later my grandson was in the chair and 20 minutes later he was finished, looking spiffy!! Sharon has been behind her chair for over 20 years (she started young). She is a local member of Sealy and the surrounding communities. I've personally taken my grandson a few times as his parents insistence and I don't blame them. Consistently good haircuts at affordable prices. So, you might ask why I'm not a customer? Well, I live in New Ulm and have an equally good barber closer to home. However, if I ever had a reason to change, Sharon's would be my FIRST choice! Give them a try; for your kids, and all the men in your family. You won't be disappointed!!

Take 30 seconds to at least look at customers concern…read more I was working close by and a customer told me they would be late so I stopped by Giftedhands as a walk in customer on a Thursday around 9am. The place was clean, the barbers all seemed very friendly. Wait was not to bad maybe 10-15min, felt that was pretty normal for a walk in. My barber was Jamal, second on the left upon entry. I'm not to good with all the haircut terminology but I asked for a low fade with it tapered at sideburns and in the back. Jamal did a good job and I felt he took his time to do the best he could. The problem was at the beginning of the cut he asked if I wanted the taper all around or just as I explained. I told him, just on the sideburns and back. Once he completed his work, he asked me to check it out to see what I thought. I simply said "ok, now I understand what you meant by all around". I was about the then say "it looks good" but he interrupted me by saying. "That's why i asked you twice". I let him know that I was a little longer on one side. He replied, "that's because your hair grows differently on each side, I gave you a good cut!" He then mentioned that he did a better job than the last place I went to.... possibly, but that doesn't mean you have to be rude and not accept my input on my haircut. He the said if I wanted any extra (with emphasis on "extra") he could do it. Implying any adjustments would be extra because his job was done.... I work a lot, from 6am-8pm all around houston area and unfortunately since most barbers open at 9am and close by 6-7pm it's hard for me to make it to the same place all the time. So that's why I use Yelp and see what's open when I have an opening like today. I could tell he was bothered and it wasn't that big of a deal. I have lots of other things to do rather than to argue if one side is a tad longer, how my hair grows or who is the worlds greatest barber. I just felt he was rude, since it was the first time a barber didn't fix an issue I had and that someone mentioned the growth patterns of my hair at age 32. Overall haircut was good I just felt he was rude towards the end and didn't accept my input. I still payed $25 plus my tip. Only advice is to take 30 seconds to at least look at customers concern.

The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are super friendly. Make sure you make an appointment online or over the phone, because they are getting famous and you could literally be in line behind 10 people, it is really a great place. Freddy was the guy I went to because they have the shop organized so that if you have an appointment you sit on one side of the shop and if you just walk in you're on the other side . Although I did have to wait about 20 minutes for my haircut the three HDTVs stationed around the room provided provided adequate entertainment. Be advised, they are a cash only operation and do not accept either credit or debit cards .
