I recommend visiting Magic Nails & giving it a try. I had pleasant experiences overall both times. Services I did were the Deluxe Pedicure along with a fill on my nails. Lynn was helping this location out temporarily as she works from a location in Naperville. She is a gem & made my entire visit pleasurable. I came in two different days. Bring cash to tip ideally. You can Zelle it but you can't add a tip to your debit charge. They offer water or pop. I already had my coffee with me though. Fairly busy but you can do appointments at this location as well as walk ins. Vibe is relaxing, music isn't too loud or the actual people inside so it was soothing to sit and just give myself a bit of pampering. I will try another technician when I come back in June for my visit to IL but I wouldn't be surprised if I called to ask for Lynn to come down to Diamond or even me going to see her in Naperville, that's how nice it was to have her provide my services. read more

Worst experience I've had at this salon.. got my nails done only 4 days ago and already peeling and lifting and bubbles in my nail polish which I never have had. Got them fixed by the same person and she cut my cuticle twice and shaved my nails done so down my nails hurt after putting them under the light and I had to repeat myself multiple times that it was hurting. I also had a fuzz from the cotton ball on two of my nails. (Sorry don't know the name of the lady who did them) read more

Really disappointed. It's my birthday and my fiancé booked me a mani pedi- I waited over 30 minutes soaking to start my pedicure which took 1.5 hours total with waiting. I picked out a pretty medium pink with sparkles and for some reason she grabbed a bright neon orange and didn't check with me until there were a few layers cured. at that point I just wanted to go home. I don't often get my nails done, but when I do, I like to make sure I go to a good and respected place. When looking into this place, it might've not had the best reviews but me and my friends still decide to go because we had been recommended by friends when we got there we were treated with good service and while getting our nails done, the people were friendly, and did a very nice job. This is place is always busy and deserves a lot better ratings that what is listed. I've been here many times and always enjoy their services. Today, I got the winter pedicure. They use the sugar scrub with a slice of lime that smells so nice! Not to mention the GREAT rub she gave my legs. Usually the massage is something people lack on. I will be back. And the salon is most nauseatingly smelly salon I've ever been in. Please buy a fan. I started going here again last year after stopping for awhile (covid). Its within walking distance so figured saving gas was worth it. Was really happy until the last 3 times. 1st time, the guy who was doing my nails literally got up and walked away. I loke to leave a very generous cash tip but couldnt even get him to look at me so I could let him know its there. Figured it miggt have to do with the culture so went back. Next time, the girl took all the tips off then just put the gel on my nails with no tips. Ahe said something about preventing fungus but I prefer the gel going on the tips. I waant happy about that. The last time I went it waa for a pedicure. He pointed to a pedicure on the menu and I agreed. Je didnt have me pick out polish, just showed me samples. I paid and when I got home the price was $15 more than on the menu. That was strike 3 for me. Believe me I would so much prefer to walk over there, but enough is enough. read more

Would leave ZERO stars if this were an option it is ILLEGAL in Illinois for nail techs to wax. ONLY licensed cosmetologists and estheticians may legally wax a client. This salon has hurt several young girls by removing skin during their illegal waxing services. A report is being made to the state. Nail Techs can not legally wax. read more

I got a full set of acrylics and the only reason I didn't give it 4-5 stars is because my nails are all sort of different lengths. It was very clean and I'm very happy with my nails. Overall this place is great and i would recommend it especially because they were only $28 and they look really nice. read more

Go any place else but here! I went to get a no chip manicure, the women that they stuck me with spoke no English at all. How are they supposed to know what we want, even though I addressed my concern to the owner because the tech was taking off my no chip with a drill with the most courses one they have that it was bouncing off my nail and ripping up my natural nail!!! Apparently as if this wasn't alarming enough when I took my hand out from under the light the gel had dripped into my cuticles and looked like a horror movie. When I finally said enough is enough Holly replaced her with another and then I had to go though the whole process again. To think I wasted my time there and was afraid I would get an infection due to her tearing my nail bed up. No apology nothing and they still expected a tip, get real!! Do yourself a favor and go down the street to Diamond nails yes you will wait but they are excellent! read more

Very friendly group. I've been here many times and have never been disappointed. I normally get a no-chip mani which is great and the hand and arm massage after the mani is superb. The massage pedicure chairs are top-notch. I've almost fallen asleep in the chair more than once they are so relaxing. The salon is always very clean and the polish colors are always updated. I have been there three times. The first time they did the dip. I picked out the color I wanted, which was a blue with the glitter in it. He started painting my nails and got the first coat on. After he did the first coat he looked at the jar and he said that it was marked wrong. He kept going and the last coat he put clear glitter on them. They didn't turn out too bad, but it was not what I ordered. The fee was $40. I went back last Friday which was July 1st. I asked for the no chip gel but I got acrylic instead. Yesterday which was July 6 one of the nails ripped. I had a doctors appointment so I had to put some superglue on it to try to keep it on. When I got up this morning another one of the nails on the same hand was ripped. I called them and got a 3 o'clock appointment and explained what happened, but didn't get anything done until at 3:30 PM. Because of the broken nails they had to cut my nails really short. I had the dip done again. When I was done they charged me another $45. I guarantee you I will not be back at your salon. If I have to I'll drive to Joliet to get them done. I really think that it is bull shit that they didn't even give me at least half price. What a rip off. Sincerely yours read more

This place made my nails weak by bugging them down. They also were very rude and disrespectful to me and other customers, they kept on yelling at me when they messed up and got frustrated quickly. I would not recommend this place because of those reasons and this reason, they did not do a good job on a simple paint job. When I left I had nail polish all over my fingers. every single time i get my nails done here they come off in less than 2 weeks. the only reason i get my acrylics done here is because it's close to my home. but i definitely do not recommend. they charge an extra $5 for the coffin shape. and before i got my nails done they said it was $25 but then when it was done they said it was $35. also last time i went here was 2 months ago and my nails are still damaged and i also came in 4 days after getting my nails done before because one nail broke off and they were already grown out. and i couldn't find the exact color to match my other nails so when i asked her to just paint over the other nails she said that i could either have one nail that doesn't match or i'd have to pay an extra $10. so i just asked so get a fill and she sent me away to another guy to do them. not to mention she had earbuds in and was watching a youtube video on how to do acrylics while doing my nails! another time i was getting acrylics and he yanked on my hand and my other hand hit the fan so he got pissed at me then when i was drying them they kept bubbling up from the dryer so he got pissed again so i was done with him so i just kept my hands out of it so then he got mad that i was keeping it out so i just got up and left. it's like he knew he wasn't gonna do good so he made me pay for it before and asked for a tip before and knowing that he wasn't gonna do good i have him a $3 tip and when i handed him $3 he got mad and threw it into a drawer. i don't know why i ever came here more than once! read more
