We each bought one of their stunning Haitian metal art works, all the more pleased because part of the money goes to these amazing Haitian artists and the nonprofit that supports them. My selection is in the photo attached. They also have some gorgeous "candles" for those who must avoid candles because of the fragrance. These are beautifully designed glass containers to which you add what's necessary for them to burn as candles but with virtually no fragrance. When we walked in, I was pretty impressed with the selection they had on the floor. I immediately saw a vanity that I loved. Josh, who runs this place, was super helpful with all the questions we had. He suggested we walk around and see what else they have. They had so many doors, windows, panels, trim..goes on and on. He seemed to have a lot in stock and plus side is you can load it up and take it home same day. We had to do some measurements and figure out what we actually plan to do. But we plan to return and purchase almost everything we need to update our half bathroom.

Sure, you could buy a great mattress online and receive it in two days, and cheaper than this place. But again, you want to buy local. The store itself is fine although the mattresses are not exactly the same as you would find at other places. They have the name brands, but they are a few hundred more dollars more expensive. Again, you want to support local. Great. Here is where it goes wrong. Bought a queen mattress and box spring here and was told it would take about four weeks (Again, online everything would come in 2 days). It would then take a week to arrive after they get it. When it is all finally scheduled and they come to the house, they can't get the box spring up the stairs. So, we change the order and pay a few extra hundred dollars for a split queen box spring. Well guess what - they ordered ONE of the two split queen box springs. Apart from them being an idiot, they are just like OH WELL! "Men, am I right?" That is literally what these two women on the phone said. Its not men, you are just a terrible business. They said it would take 1-2 weeks for the other box spring to come in. We got a call it was in (June 21) but guess what.... they can't deliver it until JULY 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am just dead at this point. It will have been over 2 months since this thing was ordered. I do not blame them that they couldn't get the box spring up the stairs, but it was THEIR ERROR that only ordered a SINGLE SPLIT BOX SPRING and then will take weeks to bring it over. I am just beside myself. I don't even have the box spring yet. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of good quality furniture stores in the Baltimore area -…read morefortunately, Jarrettsville Furniture is one of them! We were in desperate need of furniture as we had moved and our existing furniture had not fit through the front door of the rowhome. My husband and I went to a few lower quality discount stores looking for living room furniture. We were VERY limited on what we could look at as we have a 28 1/2" front door which is 4-6" narrower than a standard door. After finding only a few couches that were going to fit through the door, we did some research on how well that furniture holds up, how long the fabrics hold up etc and decided that we wanted to look at good quality american-made furniture. The next day went to Jarrettsville Furniture. Our salesman, Mike, walked us around the floor and could not have been more knowledgeable about the brands, how they are made, pros/cons of each and what options & pricing they all had. Being able to see the interior of the cushions and examples of how the furniture is made right in front of you is very cool. We needed something ASAP and ended up finding a floor model that my husband and i both really liked. The moment of truth of course, was seeing whether it would fit through our front door. Mike called the head of the delivery department to come take a look and measure who came up, took the cushions off, measured everything and (thankfully) said that the feet could be taken off prior to delivery, but that it would fit! Because it was a floor model they could schedule the delivery for a few days later. The delivery team showed up on time, removed the front door, brought the couch in (and put the feet back on) and took all the plastic with them when they left. We could not be happier and haven't stopped talking about our experience since! Additionally, having just gone to High Point where you would expect a knowledgeable salesman and great customer service, we were disappointed that our salesman knew nothing about any of the brands on his sales floor, which only made us appreciate Mike and Jarrettsville Furniture more!

My only concern at the time of purchase was whether or not my sheets would fit the mattress; the sales person assured me that they would fit, and they do. However, every time I change sheets, I hate myself for this purchase. The mattress is so very heavy that I cannot lift it to secure the sheets between the mattress and box springs! Should I need to buy new in the future you, can bet your bottom dollar I'll be lifting the mattress!
