We called the day before to make reservations. When we showed up, they said there was already another "old woman" there and they got us confused (I'm under 40 btw). After some weird interaction, they said they would take our party first. They also had us pay up front which made the tipping process weird because I'm tipping on a service I've yet to receive and don't know how good it's going to be. They did the foot massage and it's the first place I've been to where they do not provide a bucket of water first. Instead, they just jumped into it. The massage was ok. My mom had to ask the woman to go softer a couple of times and at the end of the massage the man insults us again by saying how weak my mom is. I had to inform him she has terminal cancer. He seemed to be remorseful but it still didn't lend itself to a good experience overall. Another word of warning, this place is on the second floor of a building with no ADA access. There were a set of steep stairs. We would never have booked this if we had known given my mom used a wheelchair to get most places. read more

The beginning of my massage started out okay. The woman listened when I asked her to lighten the pressure. But she kept rubbing my back and over and over without switching to another spot. This made my back pretty sore the next day. Then in the middle of my massage, my masseuse left and someone replaced her. When I turned over, I realized it was a man.......I only go to woman masseuses. I didn't specify that in the beginning of my massage, but at these types of spas it's always women doing it and I've NEVER had the person switch in the middle. Most of my massage was over so I would have minded less except this man had no business doing the massage. He was rubbing the front of my neck and put his fingers in my ear. When I was done and came out, I saw that 2 women masseurs were giving women chair massages and that's why they had left me in the middle of my massage. During my massage the man that was massaging me started flicking my nipples. It happened once while I was laying on my stomach, but lightly. I thought maybe I was mistaken, but then it happened AGAIN. I looked back at him in confusion. I had never received a massage before. He also fingered BOTH of my ears. I thought this was super weird and after it was over I immediately asked my partner if any of that had happened to him. He said no. When I got home I did some research and realized it is not normal for massage therapist to touch your nipples. And it is not the only time he's done this apparently based off of other reviews. When my back, shoulders and neck are feeling stiff and sore, I know that a massage here will increase my range of motion and get my muscles moving properly again. The hot stones are amazing. The masseur is very professional. I was surprised by the review that said the massage therapist was being sketchy, as I've been here several times and nothing like that happened. I will say in response to other reviews that compared to other massages I've had, this is different therapeutically. It's not super relaxing the whole time, because they are really working to loosen the muscles and get the knots worked out. That can be a little uncomfortable in the moment. I love that you are able to walk in! This isn't a box chain massage place, but that's the delightful part to me. The MT was thorough during my 60 minute table massage, she used a variety of pressures, the hot stones were incredible, and she showed an impressive knowledge of working out kinks and tension. The cost is great and the massage itself was absolutely incredible. The exterior of the building is outdated, but the room is clean and the employees are exceptional massage therapists. The conversations were short, but who needs or wants to chit chat during a relaxing experience like a massage anyway? I had a 60 minute table massage with hot stone for $60 special, and it was surprisingly good! I too thought the place looked sketchy and was perhaps a massage parlor. If it is, they definitely didn't do anything untoward to me. I had a male masseuse and he did a very solid job of getting the knots out of my upper rear back. I wish he had spent more time on my feet and calves(I should probably just spring for the foot only massage), but I was still very happy with my experience. Just had a 40 minute foot massage. Very relaxing. I felt like the massage was very planned with reflexology involved. Im a little tender, so a couple things were a little uncomfortable. But okay. I've had a couple foot injuries. I'm not an expert in the field but I've read a little about it. The atmosphere was calming with soft lighting, soft music, and soft warm bed style area to lay down on while getting the foot massage. Im not gonna lie..... I loved this place First off I feel like these places look a little sketch in general, but my back was KILLING ME seriously I needed immediate relief. I opted for 20 min massage chair. I wasn't sure about getting undressed after seeing the other comment, and I had a male masseuse so I wanted to play It safe But 20 minutes. Omg. It was heavenly. It hurt like hell at times Bc my back was so tight but It was the good pain. Seriously released so much tension my head neck and back just feel way lighter now. Yes !! I want to treat myself to this like routinely lol I usually go do the full ordeal at other more "traditional" places with $70 an hour but I feel like this was better for the money and just better in general So yes I recommend seriously go in do a 20 min in the chair and try It yourself. Saw one or two good reviews, so I didn't trust the 3 star rating. Decided to go for it because I really needed a last minute massage. TERRIBLE. Worst massage of my life, and I've probably had a hundred. Almost burned me with the hot stones to where I was jumping off the table crying out in pain. I've had many massage therapists that do percussion/tapotement during massages so I'm no stranger to the technique, but I'm not sure who taught her because was literally karate chopping me as HARD as she could. I felt like she was taking out her life stress by using me as a punching bag. I kept reminding her during the session that I wanted less pressure, and that she was hurting me. Either she just didn't care or really has a bad memory because she kept revving up the intensity every few minutes. Also, I made sure to tell her that I needed time in the massage allotted to my feet. So she decided to dump sanitizer on my feet, and freshly shaved calves (OUCH). Rubbed it in for literally one minute to both feet and calves at the same time, then wiped it off and that was it. That was my foot massage. I was polite, and said thank you at the end of the session even though I actually felt more pain after. Literally my L arm and back were cramping from being pummeled to within an inch of my life. I was charged an extra $3 because I didn't have cash which is not a big deal, but considering the painful massage was just another nuisance. And I'm sure people claim this, but for me it's actually true, I ALWAYS leave at least a 15% tip even if the service (meal, haircut, manicure, whatever) is mediocre. However, for the first time in my life I did not because it wasn't just a bad massage, it hurt me. And like an idiot I was simply too polite to end it and walk away. Anyways when she saw me sign the receipt she demanded a tip. I told her simply, "I'm not going to leave a tip because I didn't enjoy it." She doesn't say anything at all. Just glared at me and shrugged. So I shrugged back and left. Moral of the story: trust the star rating on yelp. read more

My boyfriend and I just went here for the first time this afternoon and had a great experience. They had a deal $30 for a 40 minute foot reflexology and it was awesome. The pressure was great and my feet feel very soft and it made us both very relaxed. Then we also got a 30 minute chair massage for $30, which is a good deal most places charge more that a dollar a minute. The pressure was awesome both my boyfriend and I have horrible knots in our back and shoulders. The pressure was very intense but we both feel so much better afterwards. Absolutely worth the time and money. Only complaint is the building is a bit small so during our chair massage we did get interrupted by someone coming in. Still very satisfied read more

I like the owner, Sandy. She's really great, but everyone else is not. I have gotten massage for over a decade and have had hundreds. I got the worse massage of my life here by some older man. It was soooo bad, that I didn't allow him to finish. I stopped him about 20 minutes in because it was clear that he had no idea about muscle insertion points, joints or general muscle anatomy. I was furious and he was actually hurting me! It was so rapid and had absolutely no flow whatsoever. It was like someone was taking their finger tips and poking me randomly over and over. It was terrible! I stopped him, got dressed, asked for Sandy and made her aware. I paid for the 30 minutes and no tip. I was sooo mad. I have been here a few other times and it was ok and I like the fact that you can walk in and pretty much have no wait. The heated massage table pads are super nice, but that guy ruined it for me. I will never return! I have been to many Asian walk in massage places around town and never once experienced being touched inappropriately! The first 30mins was great totally professional. Then the man asked if I wanted 60 minutes . I agreed bc the first 30 felt great. When he went to do my legs he went all the way up and brushed his fingers against my private area a few times. I froze up and then brushed it off. Then when I flipped over he began to massage my chest. Again I froze up. The cover was still covering me up at this point and I just kept thinking "am I overacting ? Am I sure something is wrong w this?" Then I opened my eyes he was hovering over me and asked if he could remove the blanket! I said No it needs to stay. My heart started beating so fast, I was actually scared to say or do anything . I couldn't think straight. I was on the verge of a panic attack. I actually let him finish the massage w only a few minutes left ! As soon as he left the room I quickly grabbed my clothes and put them on as fast as I could! I just wanted out without any confrontation. I paid and left. Please don't go here! read more

I don't know how this place stays in business. It took a long, long time to explain what I wanted, even though it was on the "menu." Foot massage was okay but right after the first foot was finished, another customer came in and the masseuse stopped, then someone else took over, so obviously the rhythm of the massage was totally screwed up and the new person wasn't as good. After less than the full 30 minutes I paid for, I was moved to literally the most uncomfortable massage chair I've ever sat on (and I have been in many massage chairs). There was no adjustment made for height or anything, so my knees were basically on the floor, and it hurt. The face cradle was too low, so I kept needing to bend my neck and face different ways (which defeats the whole purpose of a massage!!!). I kept moving around and finally I said "can you please see if we can raise this?" And then it was raised, but it was still crazy uncomfortable. It has to be the cheapest possible massage chair, and it was rickety to boot. Finally, the bottom half of my back wasn't even touched. I pod for 59 minutes. They did 45, and that includes the foot "bath." When I paid, I was told they charge three dollars to use a card!!! Even though I was paying them $47.00! I thought that was pretty insane. Then they had the nerve to point to the tip jar. I was like "no, I did not like it. I was not happy." No one said anything back to me or asked what was wrong or anything. I have been to more than a dozen "walk-in" massage places in my life, and this is the only time I've felt compelled to write a negative review. Do not come here. read more

The worst professionalism I have experienced in a while. I called and scheduled a "couples" massage for my boyfriend and I for Valentine's Day weekend, and reconfirmed via telephone yesterday. Two appointments for 10:00, I call them to be polite and let them know we will be FOUR MINUTES late-traffic in Louisville isn't the greatest right now-and she says okay. She calls us back and says actually her colleagues at the shop took someone in my spot already, mind you its 9:50 am.. And that my boyfriend and I will have to wait 40-50 minutes now. What is the point of an appointment? She says she apologizes but there is NOTHING she can do.. Her colleagues don't speak English and they thought the walk in was me. K. We get there to speak to someone in person, lost cause.. Needless to say we didn't get any massage because everywhere is booked. Never do business here! I really felt like I was ripped off.. I went for a massage because my neck was bothering me. I walked in, a lady came out and asked what I needed . I said a 60 minute massage. She showed me to a room partitioned by a curtain, said get undressed and lay face down. soon someone came back in and started massaging my back. at that point I sat up and was telling a man who never introduced himself about my neck. He said okay. he did give a good massage but didn't stop my neck from hurting. The ripped off part was after I turned over., he massaged my head and then said in very poor broken English 60 minutes were up but for another $30, he would give me 30 more minutes to massage the front of Imy body. Who has a 60 minute massage that doesn't include the whole body? I know I should have said no but was really hopping to ease the pain in my neck and said okay.
