About halfway through her massage, they switched her to a male therapist without asking for or obtaining consent from either of us. That was completely inappropriate and should never happen, especially when a specific request was made for a minor. The environment was also far from relaxing. Throughout our massages, another employee repeatedly ran up and down the hallway outside the treatment rooms, and our massage therapists carried on full conversations with other employees during our sessions. Instead of a peaceful, professional atmosphere, it felt distracting and unprofessional. To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, we were pressured into leaving a 20% tip, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. Tips should always be voluntary and based on the quality of service--not something guests feel forced into. Finally, I noticed the timing of our massage. The therapist started the session timer while I was still taking off my shoes, as instructed. I tracked the appointment on my Apple Watch, and from the beginning of the service until the end, the total time was only 25 minutes and 32 seconds. That doesn't even account for the multiple interruptions when the therapist stopped to talk and laugh with employees in the hallway. Overall, this was not the professional or relaxing experience we paid for. The lack of communication regarding my daughter's therapist, the constant distractions, the shortened service time, and the pressure to tip left us very dissatisfied.
