He had worked with my brother and sister-in-law for their wedding 3 years prior, so I knew that the pics and service we would be getting would be amazing, and we were not disappointed. Here are a few reasons you should work with Efrain: 1) Creativity- he has an amazing eye for beauty in this world and it shows in his photography. He knows how to direct you so you don't look awkward and can find beautiful lighting regardless of the backdrop. 2) Quality - you simply won't be disappointed with the final products that you receive from j'adore. Their pictures and videos are all done very thoughtfully and I felt like they really tried to cater to us. 3) Professional - they are such a great team to have around on the day of the wedding; Efrain is calm, efficient, and flexible. As a non-profit community based program, our budgets are always very tight so we rarely can afford to have professional "marketing" materials made about our services, so we were thrilled when Joanes volunteered his skills and expertise. As a filmmaker and videographer, Joanes was very meticulous and professional. He took the time to really get to know our program and the space. On the day of filming, he spent the entire day with our program staff and participants, conducting interviews and capturing our classes in action. Afterwards, he must have spent hours editing the video himself and putting the final product together, and the care he took really shows in the final product! We discussed the event several times prior to the big day, he came early to set up and check out the space; and during the event played a fantastic mix of old school reggae, hip hop and soul. Having a live DJ play the perfect soundtrack really made the evening feel special...which led a lot of people to get out their checkbooks and donate to our cause. Jolie was able to accommodate me right away and I was so pleasantly surprised I was able to find parking right in front of her studio. I found Jolie to be very smart, personable and extremely passionate about her work. Before getting to the actual session, we chatted for a bit: she got to know me and vice versa. She inquired what I did for a living, the purpose of the headshots and the impression I wanted to make with them. We then combed over the outfits I brought with me, analyzing the colors and the message the looks would send. The actual photo session was very relaxed. Her directions spoke to me and I sensed she wanted the real me to come out. The whole process was very natural. Jolie knows her craft and has a strong intuitive approach to her work. She had a great turnaround time on the retouching services. The photos were beautiful, extremely natural and of very high caliber. Actually, KK offered to host a show of mine when another venue cancelled last minute and it saved us. How sweet is that? Also, 2 weeks seems like a pretty fair amount of time to cancel and I'm sure they weren't dicks about it because they seem like pretty nice guys.
