Instead, we were told that if someone didn't come outside, they would leave with the desserts items we had already paid half down on and were prepared to pay the remaining balance for. This caused unnecessary stress and scrambling during the reception. What was most disappointing was the owner's response afterward. Instead of accountability, she deflected by rewriting the timeline, blaming background noise from frustrated guests, and making personal remarks about me as a customer. None of that changes the facts: * The delivery was late. * Calls and texts went unanswered until 3:23 PM. * The delivery was not completed as agreed. The owner and Freeze-Dryer-in-Chief was manning his booth and offering very generous samples of everything. Though he freeze-dries many things (e.g. pickles, marshmallows, ice-cream sandwiches) it was the Chamoy-infused, freeze-dried Skittles that won my heart. I left with a bag of the Watermelon Chamoy Rainbow Puffs and the Mango Chamoy Rainbow Puffs ($9.99/6-oz. bag). The Mango Chamoy version was ransacked (by me) as I sat in traffic days later. The Watermelon Chamoy bag was devoured by the person at home waiting for me. These are the treat you didn't know you've been missing. I didn't wait for an East Bay event where I might again encounter Freezin' Awesome. I went on their web site and ordered enough product to get free delivery and, wonder of wonders, my 10 bags of freeze-dried Skittles arrived at my home the very next day. This could be habit forming.
