I was able to make a same-day toddler haircut appointment. Girls' haircuts are currently $28 "plus." I'm not sure what would make the cost over 28. I don't envy the hairstylist's job. I did have some trouble hearing her, but overall the cut was fine. My daughter's bangs are a little uneven but not offensively so. I was a little surprised by how much work I had to do to calm down my daughter, who has had other haircuts in the past. I guess I expected the hairstylist to help me a little more in making it fun or distracting her. I'm sure I'll be back, but I'll probably rely on some home haircuts in between. read more

11/17/23 Got my son's hair cut here yesterday by Sophia. It was his first haircut- he wiggled/ hollered a couple of times but quickly calmed and sat still with watching the tv and my husband or I at his side/ holding on to him in the car. When another family came in about half way through he was done fussing and they repeatedly remarked how calm he was and how well he was doing. I "get" that kids can be wiggly and difficult to give a cut to, but that really was not the case with him.  In the moment, I was impressed with the ratings on Google and FB and the recent repeat "Best of" Award so I went in trusting he was in good hands. I appreciated how quickly and confidently Sophia worked with him but after washing the gel out of his hair last night and seeing it dry today, woah! It's actually inexplicably bad. We asked for his hair to be cut like my husband's, who was physically right there. She confirmed we wanted the back/sides tight and the top long. A small trim would be good but mostly keep the length to brush to the side. Physical example and verbal confirmation, simple enough. 1- We noticed after leaving she only cleaned up the one patch of peach fuzz that we pointed out, on his neck behind his ear-ish, but not the other. Though she cleaned all around the hairline, she just left that patch for some reason.  Hmmm, ok, not the end of the world and we have the means to clean that at home, but for a $28+ tip cut, should we have to.... 2- Today I see his fringe/bangs are extremely choppy and not in a straight line. The hair on his right is barely pinch-able and the corresponding hair on his left is incheS long. There is no rhyme or reason, just about an inch-wide strip along the left side of his head is long and the rest is... not. 3- There are chunks just.... missing in the shorter top hair too. Impossible for me to get a snap of but noticable in person. Honestly just the more I look the worse it gets. 4- Before making the first snip up top she did confirm between her fingers she was cutting the right amount. It just kept getting shorter and shorter though...  This last point is less of an issue for me and was no issue at all at the moment because, though it wasn't what I'd wanted, *if it were even* it'd grow in fine and I could maintain the sides myself. Unfortunately.... I now have to figure this whole thing out myself as I do not have the money to risk his hair "professionally" again and I do not live in the area to go right back to them.... Not that that's a very comfortable option anyway. In short... I do not understand how they are the "Best of Westchester" and have such high reviews if this is what we left with. If I could get back there I'd request a refund. It's just hair and will grow back, I'm not devastated here.... I'm just bummed that we paid over $30 for a service that was performed so poorly. I 100% could have messed up his hair *for free* I hope this can save someone else the trouble. read more

I was so disappointed to wait nearly an hour for a haircut for a six year old that took about 10 minutes. (We had an appointment and arrived on time.) what made it even worse was that there was no apology from the man at the desk, and just blamed it on a backed up schedule. Being a realistic parent here, the cut never comes out the same but that's because my child HATES the sensation of cutting his hair and sometimes won't stay still. These ladies try there best and they do a good job at doing what they do especially working with kiddos. I speak for myself where I have attempted cutting my sons hair at home to save a few bucks but it's not worth the fight I get so I come here :). I personally think it's a bit expensive but you always find parking and the booking is pretty easy and almost always at the time you want it! read more

While I hate to write this review as I've been a loyal customer for 8 years, I wouldn't want other people experiencing unfair treatment. I had an 11:45 appointment for my son. When I walked in I checked in with the lady at the front. All three chairs were occupied and I was the only one waiting. After 10 minutes there was about 5 other kids that were waiting for a haircut that arrived after me. When one of the chairs were free the receptionist called a child that arrived after me. When I inquired about me being next she said "you didn't specify who you wanted to cut his hair". I told her I've never had to specify. She proceeded to tell me that's how it works now. I said ok, I will wait for Sonia. After waiting another 10 minutes for Sonia, they took another child that arrived after me. When I inquired yet again, she told me oh she was waiting for Sonia too, when I told her she came after me she didn't bother to care. Never was I asked who I wanted to cut my sons when I made the appointment or when I checked in. I will be taking my business elsewhere where they treat people fairly and I advise people to do the same! read more

So good! We've been taking our five-year-old here since her first haircut around age 2, and it's always been a pleasant experience. The same lady has always cut her hair, and she's adept at putting kids at ease. She's also FAST, which keeps the kids from getting too squirmy. And our kid always comes out looking good. As our kid has gotten older (and has gotten longer hair), they've started doing fancy braiding at the end, which leaves our daughter feeling like a princess. This is the only place where we've taken our older daughter for cuts, and now that the younger one is getting older, we'll start taking her here too! read more

Brought my toddler here for a first real official haircut. Being a COVID-kid, I was very worried how my child would react being in a public place, with strangers, and getting a hair cut for the first time. The experience was fantastic! The women at this place are miracle workers. My daughter was definitely timid at first but the second she sat down she was memorized by everything going on (tv, toys, the cool car she got to sit in). I was also thoroughly impressed how when they needed her to look down to cut her hair in the back, they gave her a tablet toy to keep her focused looking down. I will definitely go back! There is no way we would have had this kind of success at a regular hair salon. As for COVID, I felt very safe there. Every one was in masks. Temp checks upon entry and cleaning of stations between customers. Appointment is required to control the amount of people in there at once. read more

We love coming here for toddler haircuts. My 2 year old always chooses the blue car, blue lollipop, and a blue balloon. Her hair always looks adorable and she gets cute little butterfly clips in it too. You get a punch card so the 10th haircut is free. This was an absolutely abysmal experience. We scheduled an 8:45 appointment. When we arrived, we were told "a few minutes" but the place was packed and they clearly triple booked appointments. I love place. The stylists are so patient and sweet. When I took my two year old for her first haircut here, they were so understanding. They let her wander around and get comfortable. They didn't rush her and ended up cutting her hair wherever she felt the most comfortable. This ended up being on the floor by the waiting benches and also in the car they retrofitted for a barber chair. The stylist ended up cutting my daughters hair upside down and standing on a bench. This place is way overpriced just because they placed two power wheels on top of a barbers chair. Sonia is nice, but the guy behind the register needs an attitude adjustment, must be the owners son, cause he does nothing and has an attitude with clients. He will just text all day long. I feel like I have tried every option for haircuts in the lower Westchester area and this one is my favorite so far! (And I have been to a bunch of the other "kids cut" places locally). They did a great job with my 4yr old who is terrified of clippers (see my other barber shop review for a description of that calamity) and my completely uncooperative 2 yr old. They have a ton of toys, a bunch of TVs with pretty much any dvd/show you could want, and they give lollipops and balloons at the end. Oh, and the haircuts were great too--super cute:) We had Raquel (sp?) who was so patient and kind. She put great care into giving them a perfect cut. Both kids left reluctantly, and both asked to go back soon. Given that I normally wait until they are wooly mammoths to avoid the hair dresser, this is a huge parenting win!!!
