This is the second time I've ever come here. I tried to give this place a chance and it disappoints every time. The girls look nice but the service and atmosphere sucks. Number one, I really just wanted to get out the house and chill and pick up some wings to eat while viewing some eye candy. I came in and there were 3 girls behind the bar: 2 of them were having a conversation and the other one was on her phone. This lasted for at least 5 mins and it wasn't busy in the place! There weren't any dancers greeting patrons or dancing on stage. They were all kinda just waiting on you to walk up to them and ask to give them your money. Not gonna happen! This is supposed to be an environment where a man can come through and relax and have a decent time. Th coolest person was the guy selling cologne, mints, etc in the bathroom! This place has the nerve to charge $20 for entrance and it completely sucked. I'm over it. The girls are fine as hell but the attitudes are horrible and not personable. Never again. Once I get my chicken wings I'm gonna eat them and roll out. Should've went to Strokers. At least the girls speak and they have pool tables there. Smh read more

First of all, I agree with the review posted by Julia S.: I was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED by the front-door security staff that is the initial impression a patron gets of this place. On Magic City's website, they CLEARLY state that there is a discounted admission rate for ALL military and veterans of the Armed Forces. However, when I showed my VALID military card, the bouncer looked at it, then back at me, shrugged his shoulders and said, "And? It's $20 to get in ... NO EXCEPTIONS!" And even though my out-of-town guest had also registered on their site to qualify for the advertised "1/2-off discount rate", he made me pay $40 for both of us to get in. Once inside, we had no choice but to sit at the bar because the limited table seating was already taken by the time we arrived at 9:30pm. THAT proved to be a joke, because the lonely, horny, gawking stalkers that crowded the stage made it hard to enjoy the show for most of the night. I was ALSO not impressed by the lack of attention paid to the patrons at the bar by the dancers. One dancer in particular would approach one individual, skip three or four, then solicit the fifth patron, which made several people angry ... and I agree. When people are going to a club of this nature, you can NEVER be too sure of who the REAL "ballers" are, or if they're just scrubs hanging around to look at eye-candy for free. Therefore, each and EVERYONE should be treated as though THEY are your ONLY bread-and-butter for the night ... THAT'S your job, "Ladies"! In MY opinion, the ONLY thing that made my night worthwhile was the 2-song acts that broke out at midnight (They put on a cute show ... but I've seen better!) and the sexy bartender that kept serving us our watered-down drinks. I've been to clubs in my hometown NY, Miami, Dallas, San Francisco, Vegas, LA, New Orleans and many other cities I've lived and traveled to, and THIS, by far, was THE most disappointing time I've EVER had!!! I'm not going to waste time pointing out the myriad of service issues we encountered BEFORE we ever got inside. Considering the amount of money we spent to book a VIP section, I should... but I'll save that for the personal call I'm going to make about it. I will say this, Magic City (on a Saturday) is HIGHLY overrated. I've been a number of times over the course of a number of years and I'm convinced that the dancers are spoiled because of the notoriety of the place they dance. Seriously, thanks to Future and the rappers before (and surely after) the dancers are under some strange impression that bouncing one leg and smacking their ass is worth a tip, let alone the $10 per dance it costs. Call me crazy, but I can do that for my man at home and he be satisfied. I take him to places like this to be entertained. I guess the pole classes in Atlanta are too expensive for them to sign up for "job development." NONE of them, save for two out of the probably 100 girls in there, did any pole work and even theirs wasn't spectacular. In this day and age having a fat a*s and a long weave wont get you thousands of dollars in tips. Magic city is crazy, the cover was $20. I had to find out what this place was all about. I'm talking 'bout women hanging from the ceilings and doing tricks like they were in the circus. They make the dancers up north look like they ain't even trying. The place itself is not what I'd think it would look like based on how many celebrities go there and how popular it is. I like the set up of the stage though, and the array of women. As i was planning my trip to Atlanta, visiting a strip club in ATL became one of my main events during the trip. I knew i wanted to go to a strip club but where to? After doing a little bit of research, asking my "male" friends' opinions on strip clubs, it was Magic City that we decided to go to. Being overly affected by Media, i just had to see strippers doing their thang (especially with their buttocks*cough*) Because that is what i see on any regular(?) hip hop music videos. Going to Atlanta was all about experiencing "the urban culture" Of course, it's a well known fact that the city is beautiful and the Olympic was held, etc. But i admit i was only interested in experiencing the night life. (Ok. Cut that all unnecessary explanations.) Around 11:30, we had arrived at the club, the line wasn't there. It was an easy enter, no waiting nothing. Our group consisted of me, my friend and her boyfriend. We had to pay the cover which was $20. I don't think it was that excessive considering that's the regular club cover in Hollywood. After doing a little bit of TSA thing, we finally walked in. well.. it was dark. I saw girls dancing on the stage, naked. At the same time, I could feel people staring at us. Of course, it was all black crowds and I could tell my girl friend and I were the only Asian at the club. I couldn't stare at people's faces straight so not sure how they looked, but the vibe was... 'What da hell are they doing out here?' After passing a few mins of awkward moment of being only Asian girls at the club, people finally stopped minding us and started minding strippers. I ordered three shots of Patron but the bartender suggested a special which was a shot of tequila and a chaser (Budweiser), 9 bucks. I was like "sure why not?!" That was until I saw the bartender getting the tequila out of the tap. No wonder why it was so cheap..! I think I took two shots while I was there. Not sure if the tequila was too cheap or it was the mixed drink that I had but one thing for sure, I was throwing up everything including my bile next morning. The worst hangover ever. Speaking of girls, girls were soooo pretty. I was very impressed how they were presented. Pretty faces, all types of body figures. It reminded of Baskin Robbins. There was one girl who was so pretty that she could have made me go straight only if I was gay. I was expecting to see some money throwing or guys making it rain kind of scene but people were pretty much sitting down sipping their beer or just standing and staring. I was holding my dollar bills and looking for a moment to just go out there and tip a stripper. But nobody was doing it big. I think it was after second shot of my tequila and finally walked up to the stage and started tipping the stripper. I'm not sure if there is a proper way to tip a stripper but all I did was just tucking dollar bills into her denim panties. . Finally after tucking all my dollar bills into a stripper's panties, I came back to the spot where I was and did a little bit of hi-five with my friend and left the place as if the mission was accomplished. MAgic City breakdown: I was out of town from NYC, here to check on Magic City... $20 cover charge Valet parking was about $20... good DJ RATING OF THE STRIPPERS: out of 10 stars Face: 7.4 (about avg in terms of looks/ some cuties, but some so-so over the hill dancers) Bodies: 8.3 (some nice thick mama's in here) Attitude 6.4 (some attitude from certain dancers, a lot of hustlers who are focused on making that money) The Positives: Some cute ladies with big booties.... Some strippers tend to walk around butt naked, which is nice....... About 3 to 4 women tend to dance at once on stage, so if a gal is boring---you have other viewing options...... Negatives: The smoking inside here can get annoying---hate the idea of getting back home smelling like an ash-tray..... Thirsty dudes will often stand in your way as if you weren't there.... I'm not a big fan of the crowd here---A lot of fake tough guys here n thirsty looking dudes often standing right in the middle of viewing action... There's a good number of chairs, but I wish there was a little bit more..... (wish there was a non-smoking seating area) Security staff seemed like douches.... (not really personable) ADVICE: If you want a seat, you MUST come early because I got in after midnight and the lesbians had the seats on lock-down and they were not getting up..... You always hear about Magic City from the music and the videos. -It's easy to find and parking is plentiful, just be prepared to pay $20. -The entry fee on the Friday night was also $20. -The vibe is very friendly and chill. You'll meet a lot of people not from ATL. -After walking inside, you will see the stage in the middle of the building. The building isn't very big and seating was limited. -The DJ booth is located in the corner next to the bar. -I have never seen so many dancers inside one strip club in my life. The ratio felt like 1 dancer per 5 people - a staggering amount. -Don't be shy, if you come please support the dancers and have fun doing it by "making it rain" by tossing singles on the stage or by sprinkling singles on the dancer bent over in front of you :) -The music, man the music is right on point. All the latest and the older trap anthems will be heard. It's a true fan's wish come true. It's a memorable experience for sure. -The drinks aren't very expensive, but not very strong either. You can grab a Gentleman Jack & Coke and a Corona for $15. Pay with cash, if you use a card its a $20 minimum. -Don't be surprised if the DJ gives you props for making it rain on the stage, it's pretty cool - I was called out w/ "asian persuasion" most likely bc I was in the minority :) Overall, don't forget to bring cash and/or your ATM card. My first time in the historical magic city and my waitress charges me 297.00 dollars for what I do not know in addition to my tab $36 after paying $30 coverage to get in at 10 PM I also payed $10 for a hamburger to the cook and tipped him 2 bucks I would have given them a 4 star rating before the extra charge of 297.00 I discovered this once I left around 11:21 I checked my account around 1 hour later and returned to Magic City I could not get anyone to assist me at 215 am I left Message for Katrina Smith hopefully she can resolve this matter read more

I've been to Atlanta a few times but was never into the strip club scene, I had gone to one strip club before that and didn't enjoy the experience. But my friend really wanted to go and I was driving so we went...it was fun, I didn't think I would be so entertained. I may not go to a strip club here in NYC but next time I'm in GA I may check out anther club or two. The women were all lovely for the most part and pretty talented in their moves, drinks were decently priced but if you're not getting a bottle you're not going to get a table. Magic City is a very popular strip club in the Atlanta area. The furnishings are pretty plush with leather couches and a very nice and long bar. When I went there were usually about 4-5 ladies up on the poles with 4 or 5 more mingling in the audience. Lap dances were a bit disappointing very little touching and the women were pretty jaded. Was here earlier in June while in town for work...I am not new to this spot but it has been some time, since I was last here..(pre-Yelp)..The location of this spot is not great, but not scary either (at least for me..) Given the NBA Finals was in play, it was about midnight when I arrived at the spot and despite dropping $40 to step through the doorway ($20 for parking and entrance)...I did almost have a WTF moment, cause it was a Monday...Once inside, that all changed..... Almost all the dancers in MC are 10's..you will have a ocasional 8.5 or 9 walk past or be up on stage..They will approach you for personal(if standing) or lap(if sitting) dance with a friendly smile, but keep in mind strip clubs are about the hustle and the ladies are trying to get that money!! So as a guy, just go to enjoy and have a good time, dont even think you got enough game to pick up one of these ladies...only celebs get that option..However, the vibe for a Monday was as my frat brothers say "Owt" the energy was good and the dancers were plenty and everyone was having a good time...The musice was banging out the latest rap and some that make em want to shake..The dancers are also very athletic and acrobatic, which is a win, win to go along with that beauty and it helps on you fantasy thoughts in your head.... I tipped him though. I didn't stay long just a couple of hours. But yea yea I had a blast. I dropped a little over a hundred, running back and forth to the stage. It got crowded around 130ish so I peeled out. Definitely go if you want to say you been to Magic City but be prepared (from what I hear) it's a hit or miss on a Saturday. I would say magic city is a 5 star establishment on Saturdays and Mondays. A 3 star establishment on any other given day on average. While there seems to be a lot of cross-clientele with flame and strokers, magic is always preferable to cheetah or even onyx (excluding Wednesday onyx). The dancer's upcharge compared to what they would charge at a different spot adjacent to the perimeter is doubled, but that's understandable. Great talent and professionals of the industry are contracted through this business. Overall, depending on the night and sentiment of the city at the moment, you can have a vastly differing quality of evening. On a correct night, magic city is correct. read more

I made my first trip to Magic City with my bro after hearing so much about this place in songs and on social media. My experience was better than anticipated honestly. I'm definitely a person that researches businesses thoroughly before hand just to make sure I know what I'm getting myself into. Security was cool making sure the patrons and the performers were fine. Might not mean much but in other clubs security has a tendency of doing way too much in a sense.The bartenders were friendly, I didn't have to wait forever for my drinks or getting smaller bills. Some of the performers came up to us introduced themselves and offered lap dances (aka non grinding twerk sessions lol). The dancer I received a "lap dance" from was a little older than the other dancers but she was cool. I quickly learned that it's a better experience to stand by the performance stage an tip the dancers while their performing, instead of getting a watered down version of a lap dance. The girls are nice not super annoying trying to get a lap dance out of you every of minute. I must say seeing the women performing was awesome. They have to be talented to perform some of the moves they were pulling off. That was certainly the highlight of my night. The experience was great and it wasn't to far from my hotel. World famous...Fish tailing out the parkign lot...Im not a D boy, rapper or ball player so I won't be back unless someone really wants to go. You might spend $60 before you pass the door. Sure the strippers are a cut above, but all that really means is they have about 5-6 more "dimes" then Pin Ups. Its $250 to sit down but you get a bottle so its not all bad. Magic City is where all the ATL Hip Hop artists get their inspiration from, so when I went to visit, no trip is complete without stopping by to check this out. I think I went on an off night because I don't recall paying for parking and paying for cover. It was not crowded either. Some of my friends thought it was funny to chip in and tell a girl that it was my bachelor party, and before I knew it, I was dragged into the darkness and asked to sit on the couch. It was really dark, so I didn't know what was going on exactly. Before you knew it, the song was over and that was that. It was a fun night. #Shady... I went there last night for New Years. First it was $60 to get in the door, which is understandable since it's a New Year's party. The club was small and packed but I've been in these environments many times so I'm used to it. But I started to see this "business" may not be on the up & up when a dancer came over and asked if I wanted a dance. I said "sure how much?" she told me it was $10. I found this to be a fair price and she proceeded to dance. When she finished, I handed her the $10 and she said "that was 2 songs so it's $20".... I thought, ok maybe there was some miscommunication or she was a shady person and I parted ways with the money she requested. Soon, another dancer comes over offering a dance. Again I asked clearly how much, she said $10 and when it ended she said it was $20 because she essentially chose to dance through 1 and a half songs. These were minor annoyances I could live with but in my mind it took away from level of prestige that we're constantly fed through celebrity endorsements. Then comes the final straw... I see a beautiful lady dancing on stage and it looks like she's about to finish up. I head over to that corner of the stage and leaned in as she was getting down and said "I would like to get a dance" as I pulled out a $20 anticipating the inflated price. She grabs my $20 and throws it behind her on the stage and says "I'll be over in a min." Figuring she had some pressing issue to attend I waited about 5-10 mins as she talked to a few of her co-workers as they picked money up off the floor. She then walks by me as I said "excuse me, that $20 was for a dance" she said "I'll be right back" and heads downstairs never to be seen again. After about 15 mins I went to complain to the manager Charles who basically said that all of the girls were contractors and that he couldn't control what they did. He then asked me to point the lady out, which I told him she wasn't there at the moment and that if I were making a bogus claim I would just blame it on anybody but i'm not because they aren't the ones who did this particular wrong. Longer story short, without any physical provocation from either party I end up semi-encircled by 3 security, Charles (who seemed to not want anything to do with the situation), a guy who had no insignia identifying his role within the organization, and another young guy referring to himself as the GM. The "GM" and the unidentifiable guy were vomiting curse words and the "GM" kept referring to the dancers as b*tches when explaining how hypothetical my claims were. All in all, I'm not really sure how legit they are as you don't tend to come across these situations in other legit establishments. The amount of money involved is relatively trivial but it's the principle of treating your customers/patrons with a certain level of courtesy and respect. This isn't some 3rd world country... Go there at your own risk but be keen to some of the things I've mentioned here. I'm not really sure why rappers big up this place so much. It's a hole in the wall joint and is ran like one. read more

It was exactly how you picture it. 1s everywhere, music booming, drinks potent, & butt naked women galore. These girls do tricks & move their body in ways that girls in the other clubs just can't. And they get down like this day in & day out. That being said, you WILL spend bread here. Valet parking is $20, and you almost certainly want Valet in this area. $20-$30 entry fee. Drinks are cheap compared to other spots. It's so small & packed in there you get lap dances standing up, and they'll run you $20 each. But all the girls are gorgeous, and I do mean ALL of them. This place isn't an ATL Landmark for nothing. Great for a bachelor party, Birthday party, or night out on the town. Just be prepared to spend money. If not, go somewhere else, or stay home. read more
