I cannot recommend John Symon and his Magic Bristles team highly enough. My husband and I had set the standard pretty high, having been through several previous renovation and paint projects. John and his team surpassed all expectations, in every aspect of the job, from start to finish. Our house probably had not been painted in 20 years. We had been told by several painting contractors that the prep was so great, we would be better off replacing the cedar siding. One contractor who stopped by for a quote told us he was not interested in the job, as the prep was too time consuming for him. John assured us that the preparation that he would apply to our house, would make the result look like it was new siding. And he was right. John's team power sanded the entire house--probably about 80% of the old paint was sanded off. Then they power washed it, then primed it and applied 2 coats of Ben Moore. It looks like a new house. Looking at the exterior, one would never know that it had previously been in such poor condition. John is extremely attentive to details, from the quote write up, to start and finish dates, accounting of the job costs, and color and material recommendations. He actually took our screens to the paint store to have a trim paint formulated to match our new window screens. He came through on everything that he promised. His team was very experienced, at all times very professional, polite and considerate with us, our family, and our property. Finally, when the job was complete, John, for our records, sent us a final accounting of the job, and amazingly--because no painter has ever provided this without my asking---provided a list of the paint brands, paint products, and color names of the paints use with a note that this information was put in the Magic Bristles file at Rings End, for our future reference. Magic Bristles arrived at our home on time and worked everyday until completion. During the work days the men started early and worked long days. They where very professional and the work was exceptional...the best paint job we had in 20 years. John the owner was instrumental in our color choice.
