I have absolutely noticed a difference between having a friend check in vs. hiring a professional like Genevieve: If we leave for a few days and someone is dropping by just to refill the food, our cat is usually meowing at the front door when we get home. With Genevieve looking after her, when we come home she's snoozing like we never left. :) She sends photos with her daily updates, which puts my mind at ease and makes us so happy. It's clear that she takes her job seriously and that she makes an effort to bond with your cat and adjust her care based on the cat's personality. She also does super-nice housesitting things like watering our plants and bringing in the mail. I can't say enough good things about her and would recommend her to anyone who needs a cat-sitter. I hope we have the privilege of using her services for many more years. Thank you!!!

The older of our two dogs suddenly passed away and our younger dog has been taking it harder than we have (which is pretty hard). The staff has been very concerned, and when we took our dog back in to see how she would do without her sister, everyone was good with her and very helpful and she did just fine! Also, my husband had an unplanned hospital procedure and we needed to book our dog in overnight without notice, and Metro Pooch accommodated us. I don't know what we would have done had they not folded us in. We have only had really good experiences here and recommend the daycare and boarding facilities!

The metro pooch is a clean and significantly more peaceful and quieter environment than other grooming and boarding facitilies in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Metro Pooch to others.

They are a tad more expensive than others, but it is worth it. I found them to be honest and forthcoming with services and cost. Dr. Pixton and Dr. Dale are both wonderful. (dr. DellaMonica who retired recently) I feel seen and they gently guided us through our losses and made themselves available to address concerns and what to expect. They have made changes in the front desk/admin staff to accommodate the sheer volume of patients which at first I felt was too businesslike, and a little wonky. Now, I see totally make visits seamless. We have rarely had to wait more than a few minutes. To be fair, it is cheaper to use Chewy for some OTC's/food and prescriptions (heart worm) etc, which I do. Most requests, however, usually required an additional nudge of "can you get back to me about the walker's availability?" or "can you let me know how much it will cost?" (While there are discounts for multiple walks per week, it was never quite clear to me what the "week" definition was.) With one additional nudge, we usually got an official response, but it always made me a little nervous about our request and how they were documented. I will say, only once or twice did there appear to be a miscommunication between Carol and our walker about the time of our requested walk over the past year or so. Kat, who no longer works with HHW, was wonderful with our dog.
