I received a Groupon to this place for a massage as a gift and just came back from getting my massage. It was absolutely the worst massage of my life. First of all, the massage therapist used gloves during my massage. What the heck?!? I've never had a massage in my life where the therapist used gloves, and there is a reason. It was so uncomfortable feeling the rubbery gloves on my body - they bunched up as she massaged me. Second, sorry to say, but the massage therapist smelled like BO. So suffice it to say, that was not relaxing at all. Plus she kept trying to talk to me throughout the massage, asking about my religion, what it entails, and a bunch of other things that I really didn't want to talk about during a massage. I was just trying to relax, not there for a gab session. Plus there were just a couple other little things that would have been really easy to do but make a big difference for the atmosphere. I met with Dr. Heidi Jay a little over a week ago for my consultation and she took her time explaining every minor detail from the foods I should be eating all the way to the ingredients of each supplement I should be taking. She told me she would put me in her 8 week program and I decided to start my diet the following day. As soon as I left the office, Dr. Jay had already sent me my weekly food schedule along with my grocery list. She provides you with her cell phone number should you have any questions (which not many doctors do). I texted her with some questions and she almost responded instantaneously. Exactly one week later, I went to pick up my scale and attend my cavitation appointment with Kristine. Let me just tell you, she was amazing. I was a little skeptical about the whole thing in the first place, but Kristine explained the procedure beforehand and was chatting with me the whole time during the procedure which made me feel more comfortable. I'm currently on day 10 of my diet and I have already lost 10 pounds. I can't wait to finish my 8 weeks and have finally reached my goal. So I went to this place for underarm hair removal. I had done hair removal at another place on my legs and was very happy, but have since moved so I tried these guys. I spoke to them and they said I would need five sessions. I went in five times as requested and there was ZERO difference. Not even one hair was lessened. Two of my friends also went in time after time for hair removal. After finishing their series, the result was nothing! Not a single hair was lessened!! After asking around, I found out that they use their IPL machine for hair removal!!!!! IPL machines do not remove hair. That is not their purpose. I first met with the doctor who explained the procedure I had bought a life booker deal for (ultrasonic calvitation) and never offered me more services. She simply said that if I liked it and wanted to purchase more, I could do so by calling them back directly whenever I wanted. The girl from the front desk did my procedure, and it was great. She made sure I was comfortable and talked to me the whole 30 minute session so I wouldn't be bored or hear the strange ringing noise that you get in your ears from the machine. I go to Tri Health almost every week for the last 2 years! Rose, who gives me the deep tissue massage is amazing! I call her "The Angle with two Healing Hands"! Last week I was suffering from a very severe back and neck pain. Dr. Azim kindly accepted to see me on Saturday, even though I called the office at 9:30 am, and that was the best thing I did for my pain! Dr. Azim took her time interviewing me and explained fully about the possible sources of the pain, gave very useful suggestions about exercising and taking more water during the day and then she did some work on my back and neck. I purchased 2 IPL treatments through Lifebooker.com. The 1st treatment was very thorough....so thorough, that I had more scabbing from the results than from any previous IPL service I had ever had (at 4 different places). The results, however, were fantastic-- so it was well worth the week it took to heal. Scheduling the 2nd treatment was not easy. IPL treatments will not be scheduled until at least 4 weeks after the 1st one. That's fine, but a treatment will not be scheduled for the next calendar month! I had to wait till May, to schedule an appointment in May! Really?? Anyway, I scheduled my 2nd appointment, and emphatically stated I'd like to have the same person perform it as the 1st time. I was told this would happen; but when I showed up, a different person gave me the treatment. Apparently the 1st person was no longer working there. The 2nd treatment seemed much quicker and more comfortable than the 1st one; it turned out this was because basically nothing was done!!! I literally saw no difference than before I went in, other than 2 tiny darkened spots!! I sent an email to the business about my dissatisfaction, and was told to come back and talk to Dr. Hedy. Dr. Hedy offered me a "complimentary" 2nd treatment with the same person - the one who did basically nothing; or a discount toward a much, more expensive treatment. Feeling pressured, I signed up for a different laser treatment; but after returning home and doing research on this procedure - and also realizing that I was never satisfied with how things were handled, I cancelled the treatment. Since then, I have called 3 times , to speak to Dr. Heddy; and interestingly enough, she is always with a client after the receptionist asks my name! I came here on a Groupon for six utlrasonic cavitation treatments. The staff here is super friendly and my technician Christine is the sweetest girl. I booked two sessions in a row to do upper arms and lower abs in the same day since Encino is far away. On my way over on the first day, I was running late due to a parade on Hollywood Blvd. I kept calling them and said if I run half an hour late, I'll just do one session. Christine did both sessions on me anyway and everyone was really understanding about the parade. I did two more sessions of upper arms and lower abs at the same time. I also bought a Nano Lipic fat burning cream from Christine and I swear by it. I see noticeable results on my lower abs. Upper arms aren't as noticeable Christine told me the my bat wings (my words not hers) may be skin instead of fat. I'm beginning to think this is the case. Ultrasonic cavitation is to kill fat and not tighten skin so to see results in lower abs and not arms can't be due to the treatment. I will miss Christine but not the drive to Encino.
