Great education that is taught with faith-based principles mixed in…read more Honor code helps keep the campus as reverent as possible, but everyone still has a lot of fun. The nice thing is, everyone helps (and not in a condescending way,) hold each other up. There's a great air of accountability on the BYU-I campus. We just toured the campus and loved it. I'm almost done with my online education from this institution, and now my significant other's oldest daughter is going to attend here on-campus this coming fall. We couldn't be more impressed with how much her daughter will learn AND have plenty of opportunities to have fun at the same time. The students couldn't have been kinder/more respectful. The devotional center is AMAZING! Pretty much every Tuesday there's a "devo" for the students at 2pm MST. The whole campus shuts down so everyone can attend who wants to . It's so incredible! The gym facilities are huge/modern. I almost wish I was 18 again (OK, maybe not!) so I could attend on-campus!! BYU-I has a sweet spirit for sure. OH, and the Temple at the end of the campus main-road? Breathtaking!!

I enjoy the religious aspects of the school and lots of the programs that BYUI offers. The reason I…read moregive this a low rating is that there is a biased against online students who don't live on campus or in Idaho or Utah. I live in another time zone and have noticed issues over the years with their professors being condescending, unfair, and not realistic. And when I confront them I get similar answers like "its not my problem" or "I only do this in my spare time". So it makes me question the academic level of the education I'm receiving. I only say this since I've attended 3 other Universities in California and its been night and day difference with the level of professors. I only wish the BYUI professors could be more serious about teaching. Additionally, when I've had a complaint, it seems to take weeks to get resolved, and it seems BYUI always takes the professor's side. Historically, I've had to escalate complaints, appeal them up to the dept head in order to be taken seriously. That's when its finally fixed. And only then am I taken seriously for the injustice of the professors (which could have been settled if the professor was willing to fix his/her mistake)... I honestly can't say all the professors are like that, but my experience has shown to be more like 80% are like this. I have had other issues such as transcripts, dishonesty, and violations of the BYUI code that the student center and professors have demonstrated, but each time I'm white noise. Even if I try to have this corrected so future students don't experience the same problem. *I have much more to say, but this will suffice for now
