Kayaking, tubing, horseback riding and hiking are the way to go if you come down in this direction. Fishing is a little more difficult but if you look around you'll find a spot just right for you. Council Bluff worked great for us . Also check out the Elephant Rocks and visit the highest point in Missouri. Check out this neat little place; totally worth the drive .

Room & bathroom were clean, spacious and updated and our room at the back of the building offered a great view of the gold course from the 3rd floor. Bed was very comfortable & sheets were soft. No complaints but have some improvement recommendations; TV is pitifully small; the lighting in the bathroom isn't conducive to putting on make up; (much too dim); the light inside the door is a CFL and isn't bright enough to see what's in your luggage on the luggage rack. Room could use more USB outlets (there is a "hidden" one in the clock.) A cleaning staff member was not wearing a mask but when brought up to the mgr, was corrected immediately.

I well warn you the bed was not up to my standard of comfort though, it was a stiff one and wasn't the most comfortable for us, I guess its just not what were use too, it was ok as far as age and such it seem fairly new maybe a year old I guess, just a bit to hard for me. If your an outdoor person this is close to a lot of trails and other outdoor places to see, we loved the trails near by and had a nice time there.
