Made it in the store, then had to walk all the way to the rear of the store. Tried to tell the lady there needed to be handicap parking, it was met with an aggressive attitude. Then she told me there was, and I told her there was not a sign anywhere. She said it was under the car parked out front??? Then she told me we had paperwork to do, I sat down and she pulled out the paperwork and then told me a price $12 higher than I was quoted yesterday. She attempted to call someone to ask about it and said they were at lunch and that the $12 increase in price overnight was correct. She said the price quoted yesterday was a cash price, and I was running it through my insurance so it would cost $12 higher. I was never told there was a difference in a cash price vs an insurance price. The whole time the lady was very aggressive and going to be right no matter what. I explained to her that I would let her keep them if the price was not what I was quoted over the phone.

I mean, it's not dog-friendly like Lowe's, and people don't really expect a schnauzer sniffing their butt while they're selecting family-size acetaminophen, so the babies stay at home or in the truck. Only in the winter. I'm not a monster that leaves my fur kids in a hot car; i just threaten to do that when they're misbehaving. Anyway, this place is always sparkling clean, very bright (consider sunglasses if you don't mind being THAT PERSON at the pharmacy), and friendly. Sometimes there is modern country music playing. Not so awful that I'm gonna ask for the manager, but some of it is dreadful. I don't "remember" the old Norman Rockwell drugstores, but I've been to Woolworth's in Asheville and this Walgreens would be so much better with a milkshake and soda counter!

There are tens of thousands of pairs of shoes here in every conceivable style, color, and size. I was mostly looking at dress shoes and the selection was almost daunting. Becky's breaks all the shoes down by size and then by color, making it easy to find what you're looking for. I asked a woman who worked there and she told me that the shoes come from closed out department stores, bankrupt shoe retailers, and are discontinued models from the factory. For the most part, the shoes look near brand new, with some being fresh out of the box. Some pairs have a bit more wear to them but are still in perfectly fine condition. The prices are very reasonable too, for instance a brand new pair of dress shoes were around $30-$50. I spent at least an hour inside and didn't even make a dent in the their total selection. If you need a new set of shoes, don't discount Becky's Discount.
