Update from previous review - 12/1: tried calling multiple times to no avail. Finally got through today and wanted to make an appointment for tomorrow and to talk to Jamie about her response to my review. Upon answering the phone, Jamie was extremely defensive and said she would not be giving me a credit or a refund without bringing the piece in first and continued on about how this was an oversight and didn't warrant a review. Bottom line: I called to try and set up another appointment and instead she decided to ramble on to me about how inappropriate of a review this was. I tried in between her continual angry rant explain that I was not able to contact her first about it. When I picked up my piece I tried calling. After her response to my review I tried calling. Jamie became progressively became rude and argumentative despite me just wanting to support a local business. Again, I tried calling multiple times even after I left the place with my project. I waited on hold multiple times, left a message, and attempted to communicate this to her, but she only continued to argue, despite my minimal engagement and direct statement of intent to inquire about the post she left and come back. Terrible customer service. Honestly left the phone call shaken by how a customer could be treated for wanting to come back and inquiring about the response to a review. Disappointed because we had fun the first time and wanted to try it again. Update to Jamie's response of slandering a customer: Never did I ask for a free session! I called asking to set up an appointment for tomorrow and asked since I was going in what my options were for the project that the original post was about! Maybe if she wasn't so busy accusing me of being "inhumane" for an honest review she could have understood what I communicated to the first individual who answered the phone!! So after being yelled at by her and my character attacked for writing a review I told her I was no longer interested in bringing my piece in as it was a gift anyway for someone. Jamie came on the phone ready to just argue and accuse me of being a bad person for writing a review. It's hurtful to be accused and responded to this way for vocalizing my experience. Over the phone Jamie was extremely disrespectful and disruptive. It's unbelievable to be accused of a false review for stating my experience and being extremely disrespected. Sorry Jamie, you will not intimidate me or bully with your business practices or argumentative behavior. read more

It was overpriced and the staff was not very helpful. The time that I came we did not make an appointment and they were hosting a birthday party. The person who is helping us seem very inexperienced or not a regular worker there. Most of the staff was occupied with a party and kind of just left us in the back without much tools. They didn't give us a lot of direction so we had to ask every single time for help. They also didn't have the price on some thing & made us wait about a half an hour for the price before we could leave so we were unable to pay. read more

Created some art with my mom for my birthday in December. Was lots of fun especially if you are creative soul. There was lots of choices and support if you need help. Pricey but worth the experience, takes a good amount of time as well. You likely need to return in a weeks time to pick up with masterpiece. read more

We had a rainy day at grandma's house and my kids really enjoyed this place. Nice location and good selection of projects. The staff was helpful and the prices were comparable to other pottery studios we've been to. Bring quarters for parking and there are a lot off good lunch spots in the area. read more

one of the funnest places around...Jamie and her crew make sure you get the most out of your experience there. lots of fun themed events (check their website and/or social media to stay in the loop) and they are ah-maaaa-zing with kids (and adults) of all ages. my son has been frequenting MADE for years now. we had his kindergarten birthday party there and they pulled together a minecraft-inspired square mosaic project for 16 little kids! tiles, christmas ornaments, figurines, pokemon banks and a set of hand-painted salad plates later and he (now in 4th grade) is still a huge fan and can't wait to return :) read more

Loved this location! Staff were all super friendly and helpful. My family and I made candles..wish they had more options but over-all was super fun. They have a lot of options for the pottery painting that seem reasonably priced so that is probably going to be my next venture. Def a cute spot and would highly recommend! read more

This place is great! I came with my two young children (3 years and 8 months) to paint a plate for their grandmother. The girls working there were extremely nice, attentive and patient. They helped me paint my youngest child's foot to put on the plate and helped me wash him and my older daughter's hand after doing hers as well. Of course as I was putting the finishing touches on the project, my kids were getting antsy, so another employee jumped in to keep them occupied for me. So nice! I greatly appreciated their help, especially because I went by myself! We can't wait to pick up our finished project! I highly recommend. :) Shout out to Emily and Pippa! You guys are the best. Great art studio for any age. I threw my birthday party here last summer and all of my friends had a great time! Paint your own pottery, work with wet clay, paint on canvas, make a mosaic and much more if you ask! Friendly staff (all local) who are very informative and educated. I love attending Wine and Design events or Friday girls night! Great place to relax and hang with friends. My favorite Day-date activity. Great hours. Right across from the harbor so you can take a nice stroll afterwards! You don't have to be Van Gogh to make a beautiful project here ! read more

No fun at all ...this place is over priced and the girls who work there obviously need skills to work with kids...we were rushed .....and the lady there was uninterested in helping my daughter's to paint ..she was more interested in her "friends who came in" we waited 15 mins for our supplies and they r cheap with the paint...its like rationed ...my girls who are 11yrss old were totally disappointed...they even charge $5 to trace an image onto a canvas!! This should be free....I will not be returning ever again!!! read more

Major customer service issues- lady had me drive out of my way, saying my pieces were ready on the phone, however when I got there, they were not. All she said was "sorry about that, there were 3 similar pieces in the kiln". The next day I went back to pick it up, and asked if she could bring out my pottery piece, out the front door where I was parked- directly in front- as my toddler was asleep in car seat, and she held up the bag at the door, refusing to take 10 steps out to hand it to me. Horrible customer service on many levels. Will be going elsewhere now. Only reason I have it one star is because my kids had fun and the product came out looking okay. read more

Great place with a ton of options .. pottery for all ages, mosaics, painting, pottery wheel, etc .. a lot of cool workshops and summer camps. More than just a simple "paint your own pottery" place - definitely strives to be a more serious art studio for all ages! Open til 7 pm most days which is later than a lot of similar places. I've been to MADE many times and always walk away with a unique piece of artwork that created on my own. The last time I was their I took my niece and her 3 daughters who were visiting from out of town and they loved making crafts that they took home as souvineers from their trip. The inside of the studio is so artistically decorated with bright, bold colors on the walls and the shelves are filled with every kind of art project you could imagine. There is definitely something for everyone, young and old. I gave this place a 5 star rating but if I could I would give it 100 stars! read more

Poor. The young lady at the front desk was surly and did not work well with children. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Was there on Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend - 4 kids (ages 6-9) and 4 adults. We called ahead to make sure they could take us and even though there was a birthday party in the back room, the place was serene. Three kids chose pottery to paint while one did a canvas (all at the same table) and when they were "done", they each chose another activity and the adults polished the first round. We were there for about 2 hours and spent a reasonable $200 for the 8 of us. It's more about the activity than the output, but the canvases actually are great (and only $20 + $5 extra if you trace one of their designs and use the instructions... which was a little overboard, but whatever) and the pottery choices are good. There were additional options - making a mosaic or slime (but if I see slime one more time...) and I think some other options. When we left my 2 sons, who were not jazzed to go (because it did not involve a screen, superhero, bat or ball), said it was "so fun" and "awesome". read more
