They do all the usual things, highlighting, colouring, wash & blow dry, restyling, perming etc. There are three main hairdressers which work part time, there are usually two of them in the salon at the same time, though all three are needed on Saturdays, they are closed on Mondays. Their clientele range from the elderly wanting their weekly wash and set to the young teenagers wanting a new look for the upcoming weekend. Their prices are very good and they only increase them when they really have to.

Even my children have had their hair looked after by the girls in the salon. I love the friendliness of the salon, its not pretentious. They don't rip you off and you get great service with a laugh, not just a smile. They're extremely concscientious and the condition of your hair is very important to them, and that you leave them happy with your style/colour or whatever you choose to have done. I couldn't recommend them highly enough to anyone who wants to try them out.

The salan was very well decorated, a llittle chic without trying to hard, and certainly not drab by any means. I'd had to rebook three times due to life happening, but they were friendly, helpful and welcoming. I'd had to drive round the block four times before I was able to park. This is the only drawback. I will not take away a star though, I was very happy and pleased and I am not easily impressed by hairdressers. They sorted a problem I've been trying to communicate to my usual hair dresser. Went in to get highlights and a cut…read more I showed Richard two clear pictures of how my hair normally is and he first off started looking for a highlight cap - something that I could have done at home for free! When I suggested he use foils he did, but only highlighted certain areas of my head, I thought I would leave it in the hands of the expert. 30 minutes go by and he started to trim my hair - he took great care in the cut which was great - but was a bit over eager with the clippers and now is shorter than I have ever had before - when I asked to not take much length off the back and sides. I walked out of the salon and saw my reflection in the window - I looked like a zebra - where I normally have golden blonde subtle highlights all over to make my fine hair seem fuller - I had platinum blonde streaks through my hair and no hair on the back of my head. Don't get me wrong - Richard was all about the customer service and he was a pleasure to spend an afternoon with - but I was so unhappy with the results. After washing my hair at home and styling it as I normally would - I drove straight to the supermarket and bought a brown dye to cover it all up. I have a really important weekend this weekend and instead of having a really nice haircut, I'm wishing I hadn't bothered risking a new salon.

I always find the treatments done with me are of a high quality and the beauticians always talk me through what they are doing and to make sure I am not allergic to any of the items they use on me. Overall the bedsid manner if you like is very good at fourteen and well worth a visit.

However, I have continued going to the salon now known as CALLULA BEAUTY and have not a bad word to say about it. In fact the complete opposite... the new owner is fantastic, accomodating and the girls are friendly, very professional and fun! The new owner has been completely honest with customers that have come in wanting to use Gift Vouchers for 'fourteen', and believe me there have been alot. But if she honoured all of them she would be bankrupt herself!!! The blame should be put on the previous owner who was still taking the money for the vouchers!! Ive supported the new owner and girls there because I think they deserve the chance to prove they are the professional, talented and not in anyway to blame for what happened..
