For less than £20 I got just as good a job as I would have at a more expensive place with less of the pretentiousness that seems to come along with modern hair salons. The hairdressers are very friendly and when I explained my fear of hair cuts (I know, it's weird, I'm convinced they'll mess it up and it sends me into a panic) the lady cutting my hair was very understanding and did the cut quite slowly so I didn't freak out. When I was having my hair cut, one lady left with an amazing colour job (reddy blonde) that looked fantastic! I must confess that I'm useless with names so I can't recommend anyone in particular but they all seem to do a very good. I know several other people that have recently started using this salon and I'm yet to hear a bad word said about it. Definitely recommended.

Rootz was within a decent walking distance and they were very accommodating fitting me in on the day I wanted and at a decent time. The staff were very friendly, knew exactly what they were doing, were very attentive and did a fantastic job. I am so pleased with the results the hairdresser did I will definitely be going back there next time I need a trim. What made it even better was the reasonable pricing, my hair was of such a good quality but only about two thirds of the price I would pay for the same thing elsewhere. First of all didn't put a base coat on, then applied shellac ON TOP of my nail which when they started to grow out, caused them to start lifting!! Went in for them to sort out, the man that had been working on my nails filed them with an electric file which took the shellac off! I asked for the tiniest bit of shellac and the woman told me no because it was my infills? Baring in mind it was only a week old and they were messed up BY THEM. I tried to explain this to her but she shouted over me and I asked her for a second to talk and she replied "i give you 1 second". I consider this unprofessional and inconsiderate, considering it was due to their lack of training and ability!! Have reported on various websites and have contacted trading standards to acknowledge my understanding with business policies! AVOID if you want to have nice nails! Would not recommend even if they were the last nail salon on earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went here recently and had Jane (Owner) do a restyle of my hair. As I had not been there before…read moreno one knew me or knew what style I had had my hair before. Once it was washed and combed I said I wanted a style which suited my face and hair type not something in fashion that would not suit my aged grey hair! I was very very impressed with what Jane did, it really does suit me and is easy to dry myself which was something I didn't think I would be able to achieve. Jane did say I would definitely be able to dry it as she did as it was the cut that would enable me to do so. How right she was.. FAB- U- LOUS cut and all round experience there, I finally feel I have found a very good hairdresser I can trust and will return and highly recommend to all in fact I have already done so to all the people who have said my hairstyle really does suit me AT LAST. Jane obviously has years of experienced which showed in the consulation and the finished look.
