It took me almost two weeks to get an appointment. I checked in at the machine and then had to do…read moreit again with the receptionist. I waited 45 minutes past my appointment time. Four people who arrived after my appointment time were seen before me. Meanwhile the phlebotomist was excessively chit chatting with each person she saw. I know this because there is no privacy and I could hear everything even though I was seated in the furthest wait room chair from where the blood was drawn. All this for a two minute blood draw. I had a similar experience with my previous appointment. The prior lab was far superior in availability, time management, lab processing time and customer service. If you can go elsewhere I recommend doing so.

The reason for 2 stars is because I was never called when they canceled on me for two different appointments. The first time the lady called me to tell me that my PT and brace was approved but did not mention that the doctor was sick all that week, so I showed up to a surprised look on the front desk ladies face. I understood it was a mistake and rescheduled my appointment. (Services are limited here, once you get into a Dr. office you kinda have to stay or it will take forever to get what you need.) The second time I show up and yet again I was not called to cancel my appointment. The lady looks surprised again. Apparently there is a note on my file that they could not reach me at the number in their computer and that it was a bad number for me. Well, of course it was a bad number because I had not had the number for over 10 years. I was surprised to learn that my information was never updated when I filled out new paperwork, they just kept my old number from a time that I visited Mad River Hospital 10 years ago. I was so pissed cause the front desk lady was trying to blame me for this mistake. I was like "listen, go get my paperwork I filled out and I'll show you that I listed my current home phone number, this is in no way my fault." She finally apologized to me. The Dr. happened to be in the office at that moment and so he saw me right then. But still I am not impressed with this place. Make sure they have your right number in the computer cause they won't look in your file for it if they can't reach you.

I wouldn't really call it a haunted house though. Nothing was really scary it was more disturbing to look at if anything. It was all really well made and decorated but I wish it was darker in there and scarier. I also wish it was self guided a little more with scary staff popping in through out to scary you and move you along. They have live entertainment and a food truck while you wait, but the lines can get long so come earlier. At it's current level, I think kids that are a lot younger can definitely go through without a problem. I will probably go next year just because it's something halloweenish to do and it's well made. I would never go twice in one year though.

I…read morehad asked for a referal, waited for necessary medical tests to be approved then scheduled then the resukts to come back, then the referal to rwh to be approved, then the appt scheduled. So i answered, "because the u.s. healthcare system is dysfunctional?" She sent me for further tests, and about the time they were returned, she was heading on vacation for two weeks amd wanted me to wait before she did a biopsy. I demurred and asked for a collegue to do the biopsy. Thank god i did. The biopsy came back positive. I went to see her upon her return. She explained the next steps and said, "i am your doctor; you can call here any time you have questions; i will be in constant contact with you." It sounded so nice, but it was a big fat LIE. I called a few days later when the bleeding reappeared to ask if that was normal or if i should seek an appt or what. That was over a month ago. I have never heard from that office again. I have since received tx and am already cancer free because i perservered through this American healthcare "system." Don't bother with shereshevsky. She's got her own problems, and doesn't have time for you.

Beware! I went to DBS because I prefer to support local business, but I find DBS is not only…read moreexpensive but also quite unhelpful. I feel ripped off, more than by any other Humboldt County business. My "native soil report" shows minimal useful information, and the subsequent and even more expensive "nutrient management plan" recommends a lot of boutique items with no description of what each one is for or how it addresses the shortfalls they found. Moreover, they demand additional charges for any verbal explanation of how they determined their soil report and recommendations. Recommendations suggest an additional $400 worth of exotics from Humboldt Ag Supply, for a few raised beds. For a much better value, I suggest A&L Western Labs in Modesto, which actually provides real world answers at a far more reasonable price.
