All of the below has, next to my personal experience, also been collectively shared with me by both the managers and long-term personnel that most of still work there, that I've been in touch with both during and outside of their working hours, until today, the day they decided to ban me over some nonsense instigated by one of their security members. So, here goes.
Crappy pool tables that haven't been renovated in the last 3 years, not even worth to play on regardless if I was granted the privilege to play for free. Slow service, bartenders who are familiar with me keep forgetting that I don't drink alcohol anymore and act surprised when I tell them YET AGAIN to make it Virgin, often ignored when I request they go easy on the ice because the amount of ice they dump in a lot drinks drinks makes the drink contain 4/5th ice and needs a day to melt, thus being too expensive for what it costs. Therefore I often stick to soda and juices to not pay for a drink I can barely enjoy. Primarily a microwave kitchen "restaurant".
But worst of all is the treatment you receive once you become a regular; a lot of the staff worries less about how long you wait and tend to random customers first, a lot of them will share the personal information they get out of you with their colleagues as gossip material for during and outside of their work, and even go as far to use it against you for their own amusement, so my advice is not to get too comfortable with any of the staff members. I tried to go back to receiving a professional treatment again by removing almost all of the personnel I experienced this issue with off of my Social Media, so I wouldn't have to deal with a "I know you so long now, I don't have to take you serious anymore" treatment any further, which somehow is a huge issue for them if you start to treat them the same way. Apparently, as staff members have told me, most of the staff doesn't work there for the money or the learning opportunities which they are granted while working there, but rather do so because of the simplicity and amount of freedom they have to do as they please without concequence, like for instance one of the long-term female staff members that has a tendency to be rude to guests for no reason (even tough they recently adressed her about this, which they should've done 3 years ago), was all being swepped under the rug and ignored, mostly because the main manager is barely there to keep his employees in check and the other managers aren't as bothered to say something about it or simply pick and choose who they try to "manage".
Did I leave anything out that "the admin" who I'm also familiar with, not in a good way tho, feels like they might need to share? If so, please do. read more
