I purchased a top on 05/18/2025. I decided to return on 06.18.2025 and proceeded to store because according to online info, I had 30 days. At that time, the return by date as shown was 06.21.2025. Once I was at the customer service desk, the attendant said the return had to be initiated online since it was a 3rd party. She didn't say it was after returned by date. So I went home a did the return online and was given 2 options. Either return with my order return bar code and Macy's would return for me to Land's End, or go to UPS store and box ready to return with shipping label. I opted to return to Macy's. The next day I went by the store with the return info and Macy's Customer Service said that they had to have the actual shipping label. I spent 45 minutes at the store and on the phone while Marketplace tried to figure out why Macy's was not processing return. Finally, Marketplace said I would get a shipping label by email and not to worry about date because I started the return before the end date. I left store and watched for email at home. It never came. I called Macys.com to ask someone to please send me the shipping label. Again, I was told it would come by email. Still no email. Finally, today I got an email that said to go to Macys.com and do the return online and request a shipping label. So, I go online to do return...AGAIN... and I'm told return is no longer available due to being outside the return date. Macy's has been the first go to for shopping for 25+years. However, I will think twice before I order anything at all...I will never order a third-party item, even though I never knew that was what I was doing to start with. This has been such a disappointment that another retailer had fallen to corporate profit greed and at the cost of their customers. read more

As someone that used to work at a Macys, I'm seriously disappointed in this store. The kitchen/dining section is barely existent, the apparel departments are a mess, and the beauty counters are short staffed. We went in with the intention of buying a $2 to $3k mattress and the sales people were socializing and not attentive. read more

I just received notice that a fraudulent purchase was made in the furniture dept in the Haywood Macys , Greenville, SC of over $5,000. and charged to my macys card. The furniture sent to an address in Greenville, SC and the Macys employee did nothing to verify the information and allowed the sale to go through. Macys did not send me an email because the criminal opted to not have the email used @ the time of their theft. No information was sent to me about delivery, etc and Macys Haywood was negligent in allowing this purchase to be processed without a physical card or other identifying information. Macys fraud department notified as well as the Greenville SC police department. read more

Upon arrival it was hard for me to park because the parking lot is in bad need of repair. The white lines are almost non existent. When I entered into the store everything looked neat and in place. I continued to shop in various departments and they all were well kept. I did purchase some items and had them shipped to my home (not enough room in suitcase). They were also having a fabulous sell, the lady that worked in the Ralph Lauren department was extremely nice and explained how I could receive a bigger discount from the friends and family upcoming sale. This was one of the worst Macy's stores I gave ever shopped at. It was disgustingly messy, very little help at checkout and only 2 people per floor that I could see. Displays were a jumble of crap and no one to straighten them up. I love Macy's and the one and only rep on the floor who checked me out was very nice!! She was Well trained, but couldn't keep up with the amount of people in checkout. Disappointing, and I drove an hour to shop here. Not worth it I would rather shop online. read more

Just the most terrible customer service in the mattress department ‍ I won't relay the long, tragic story. Suffice it to say the woman I bought my mattresses from made a huge mistake that has resulted in my bed being delivered a month later than promised, which was 2 months after purchase. I understand mistakes happen, but the "customer service" rep I bought the bed from could NOT admit she had mixed me up with another customer and would not apologize. She did not care. I was in this store on Saturday (9/15/2018. The dress department and there were three teenagers in carrying on. Giggling and snickering and whispering. They I heard a MALE VOICE!!!! I asked the sales person in the department if she knew of the situation and she told me yes but was unable to do anything about it unless I complained!!!! What has happed to common decency for heaven sake. Security should have been called and their parents told about the situation. What kind of establishment are you to allow this in your location. We purchased a leather sofa, loveseat and chair from Macy's. After delivery the seats held the impression of the person who got up from the pieces. we complained and had 3 different people come to look at this and all said that was how it was supposed to be, REALLY???? for $3,600+? We returned them and Macy's charged our card a $660 restocking fee. The manager at the furniture department told us that she had a similar problem and she worked there.!!!!! I always like Macy's, just about anywhere I've been to one. This one is pretty standard. I usually purchase Macy's clothing online though so as to not have to walk through a mall. Furniture, however, have to see in person before I will purchase. I have some very nice furniture pieces from Macy's, that are good quality. Household items are good too. WANTED: MORE OPTIONS FOR OUTERWEAR AND SHOES! I visited this store with two items in mind, shoes and a heavy sweater or wrap. When I visited the shoe department I was really confused because of its size. It was the smallest Macy's shoe department I have every visited. They had a few boots but nothing that interested me so I did not stay long. I did overhear the employee telling a customer that he could purchase his boots the following day for 30% less due to the preview sale. Nothing like a great hook-up That dude is my kinda guy! I later went in search of some light outerwear. I was really puzzled by the overabundance of puffer jackets like I was visiting New York. Where are the lighter options? Although I did find a button-fly cape that would have been perfect, I had to rule it out due to the gaudy faux fur leopard print at the collar and around the wrists. Needless to say, I struck out today. However, I really appreciated the festive mood of the store as it prepares for the Christmas Holiday. For me, Macy's is synonymous with Christmas and you will find the best sales on quality merchandise right here on Black Friday. read more

I went shopping with my sister looking for a cocktail dress. There was a lady in a red security jacket that rudely followed me and my sister around the store. When I got to the dress section she walked up to the associate and pointed me out. I own a small retail business so I understand wanting to protect inventory but she as glaring at me, following me around and was rude. We left I went to Nordstrom's Rack and got a dress there. I will never set foot back in Macy's again. That was the worst experience, not only did I not have one associate offer to help, but the security guard was wasting her time and obnoxious. read more

I used to work department store retail in the late 90's and remember how department stores were being consolidated. I remember how they all department stores began to feel the same... I've used this Macy's for the last 10 years and after my recent mattress sale, I serious feel they deserve the 5 stars I am giving them. This is a group effort that goes out of it way to ensure satisfaction in all departments in the store. My experience is from the furniture and mattress department. Mary and Lenny have done the most outstanding job juggling my needs and delivery schedule. They are the most understanding and efficient staff I have ever known. They will meet your needs accommodate you with ease. I've had a few small issues w my schedule (my fault) and they were able to take care of me w such ease...I'm very happy to be working w these people. Another person I would like to add a comment about is Jeff. The entire group works together as a team. They communicate and follow thru, They all should take a bow. On 1/1/19, I went to Macy's at the Haywood Mall location in Greenville, SC. During this visit I was racially profiled by a store associate. She did not have any identification and I do not if she was an employee. I made a complaint to corporate and the store. No one has contacted me back. This just show the company allows this to happen. We were looking in the mattress section (we are going to be buying a king, queen, and two twins in the next couple weeks or so and they are having a sale). An associate asked us if we needed any help and we said we were just looking. She left, but then came back again, pointing out some mattresses which was helpful...but then she asked us a couple other questions about our mattress-buying timeline. We expressed to her that we probably wouldn't be buying on that visit because we aren't closing on our house for another week or so (moving from NYC). She then asked "oh, are you trying not to put too much on a charge card right now?" Ummmmm no? It was such a strange and awkward question with absolutely no follow-up. What was that even supposed to mean? We look young and happened to be dressed down that day, but we own a very successful business, rarely use credit cards at all and felt like our financial situation was none of her business. We kind of hurried our way out after that. What a weird interaction! We weren't that impressed with their selection or the quality of the furniture here to be honest...but just a tip: A friend told us that if we do end up wanting to buy anything from Macy's, they have a HUGE furniture showroom in Atlanta - we'll drive down there instead. read more
