It's not what Macys was years ago. Service is below average here. People don't really seem interested in Helping people or even wanting to be at work. We were looking through the mall and decided to check It out. We had been through a couple other stores so my hopes weren't too high. We went in and the store was clean and organized and the shelves were stocked. Hope was rising. The store had all the normal departments and they looked good. We've been getting items for a travel trailer so went to Houseware's. The Houseware's department had some nice items that we haven't seen at other stores. Macy's now has mattresses and they are having a huge sale. Eddie was extremely helpful. He described the differences and benefits of each. It's nice working with someone is nice and who knows the products. I recommend Macy's for your shopping needs. It was very nice and I will definitely be back! read more

I'm really disappointed with this company. They hire workers who don't care, they don't want to do their job properly and ignore the people who truly have hard work ethic and willing to put in the work. Do better . I'm quite dissatisfied with the hiring managers for lack of communication, the application process was long and tedious , where others get hired on immediately with no experience, good recommendations or good resumes. I really like this store around Christmas time, because it reminds me of Mom and Dad's house. Meaning the store looks like a Christmastime bomb blew up on the inside and everywhere you look it looks like jingle bells are dripping everywhere. Not in a drug-induced haze, like in decorations...you know what I mean. It reminds me of midwest stores around that time of year. I also like that because my kids (who were either too young or don't know about Christmas time with snow...and cold) the young ones anyways, get to write a letter to Santa and mail it in that big Macy's mailbox, right in the store. Sometimes they have deals on clothes, which is nice because the quality of the items are favorable. Living in Yuma, especially during the summer, we should visit more often but we don't. They mail you a ridiculous amount of coupons that are useless!! That's why I stopped shopping here!! I go to Dillard's instead. Dillard's is straight forward with their prices, no gimmicks! I bought 4 sweaters at Macy's on 11/24/21, apparently 2 of them where on "special" but the other 2 were regular price. I handed the cashier a 25% off coupon on regular clothing and he handed it back to me saying it was "not valid." I asked him to explain to me why it wasn't valid! He said that because I had 2 items with a special price. I told him, "I understand that, but why am I not getting 25% off the 2 items that are regular price?" He said because they are in the same receipt as the other 2, which is the most ABSURD thing I have ever heard! I asked him, you mean to say that this coupon will only work if I pay them separately? He said yes! That's a whole bunch of nonsense and for this reason I will never return to this store. The coupons are false advertising just to lure you in and they should be careful with this tactic because when I worked at the courthouse, I saw companies getting sued for such things!!! read more

Most department stores in the Valley are scaled down versions of the real thing, Macy's at the IV Mall is no exception. When I can't leave town this store is usually where I try to find clothes or gifts. The same old Imperial Valley customer service is always served. I went in recently to make a payment (old school I know!) but should have paid online because I was met with the most incompetent sales associate. She not only jammed up her register, and had to resubmit my payment in a different department, but she wasn't even sure if she had processed my payment correctly. When I asked her to explain she couldn't, but would say "Hold on, I'll tell you right now". So right now is now. Tell me what you are doing with my money. "Hold on, I'll tell you right now. Umm never mind let me print you a statement. You don't owe no money". So many double negatives; at that point I knew it was best to check on my account on my own. Did I mention there was another sales associate draped all over the register trying to have a personal conversation with the gal trying to process my payment? Maybe that's why I had to "hold on" for so long. read more

The associate that helped me was very courteous and kind. She was very helpful. However, as I entered by the door next to the cinnabons, I saw the cosmetics associated talking and gossiping like they didnt had anything else to do. The customers just walked by and they kept talking and talking about how was their weekend. read more

Terrible customer service. Every single time I go to this place, every single employee is rude and it's completely unacceptable. I was there today around 7:30 and the cashiers were unfriendly and by the time we left (after spending $200+) we tried going through the mall (by the makeup) because we parked on the opposite side of the mall and some young girl with black curly hair refused to let us through because the mall was "closed" and told us we had to go outside and around in the freezing cold with a BABY that has ASTHMA!!!! How can you look at a sweet innocent baby and make them walk outside in the cold and wind? This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. It was 7:55 when I looked at the clock. I have worked at a mall before and they cannot lock the entrance to the mall until they officially close. COVID-19 or not they aren't supposed to lock it until the mall actually closes. I cannot believe how rude and unprofessional they were. But I guess that's just how things are in this God forsaken valley. Talk about racism. I'm done with this place never going back. read more

The girls are so nice and helpful. Girl from the kids department awesome girl at the Chanel counter awesome. The only stuck up and annoying ones are the ones at mac those people swear they are royalty for some reason glad I only need to go when I need powder so it's not often. Other than that this store has great energy. read more
