Guevara's cut the steaks in the morning for our early evening dinner. The meat was absolutely great. I'd checked prices at other meat markets people had suggested. No one suggested Guevara's because they didn't know about it; at least that's my guess. They know about it now. I'll always check with Guevara's first from now on. Great meat; great prices.

The selection of premade foods was a little lacking but they all but made up for it in their drink, bakery, and chocolate selections. This store reminded me of a miniature, hipper, Whole Foods. With friendly folks and a fun health food type spin on most of their products. They do have grab and go lunch/dinner options found near the deli which I appreciated. The kombucha selection was almost overwhelming ans I was excited to try so many different kinds! I'll be back the next time I'm in New Mexico for sure! Pro-tip: the chocolate section is near the cashiers toward the front. They have some amazing artisinal chocolates my personal favorite being the Cartel Chocolate made in ABQ. Don't pass it up!

I wasn't sure how big the meat section was going to be, it is small and quaint but quality meat. There was also a nice selection of teas and coffees with some being local choices. I also saw some local made soap and honey which I love. I love supporting local and small businesses. Even though I purchased nothing last night, I'll be back for another shopping trip. I think this place is probably more ideal for fresh foods for a meal that day rather than a big grocery shop.

When we walked in, we were greeted by a young man who asked if this was our first time there and provided instructions on how to order and what to expect. We were greeted at the counter by a young man who helped further by offering samples of their BBQ meats. Service was very good. We ordered 1/2 pound of brisket and 1/2 pound of pulled pork along with many sides including smalls of potato salad, coleslaw, creamed corn, and a large beans. It came with white or wheat bread. Let's get to the meat, brisket was very good, the pulled pork was juicy. Coleslaw was mayo based not vinegar based. The potato salad and creamed corn stole the show. So good! Beans were good too. Inside was large picnic tables and a country store vibe. As always we ask would we go back? "Meh, idk" was Amanda's answer. We may try another location before going back.

I went for the avocado toast, and wow--it was hands-down the best I've ever had. When they say "farm to market," they really mean it; you can truly taste the freshness in every bite. It is a super easy stop if you're coming through the area, plenty of parking and some cool planes to look at as well. Jim greeted us as we entered and took our order as well as served us and explained all the different color coded sauce options! Oh my was everything tasty! The side dishes were just as impressive as the meats! Hard to believe this all started because a friend asked Jim to make some BBQ for his birthday party! I want to say thank you for the hospitality and wonderful food you shared with us we had a wonderful lunch in restaurant and took the leftovers home for dinner with our selection of our favorite sauces. Definitely check this place out, another tip the gas station at the same exit on other side of freeway is one of the cheapest around too! So one stop shopping full yourself and the car up!
