There wasn't a wait but the space did have a few additional families come in while we were there so business seemed pretty steady. We took advantage of the bar and reasonably priced beer and liquor. They have daily specials on various bottled beer as advertised throughout the bowling alley. They also have a great bowling deal on Thursday's for $5 for all you can bowl from 4-6 including shoes! They were running a special for Fourth of July weekend that made the golf super cheap from the already extremely reasonable price of $5 per person. The holes are mostly simple, a little run down in some spots but still well maintained overall. It took our group of 5 a little over an hour to play. The complex also has a sand volleyball court you can use for free (ball rental $1), batting cages and recently added Park Golf, which is a unique spin/combo on regular golf and mini golf but...not exactly. The A campground has a shower house and B does not and is further within the park. There is also tent camping further inside B. It's quiet. It's serene. The color changes were beautiful everywhere. We came late and the campground host came around the next morning and wanted to check us in of course. We obliged and were left to it. There are trails. There is massive fishing. If you want quiet camping. This is it.

Nothing has changed about this swimming pool over thirty years except the management…read more I was raised in LaHarpe, IL and took my first swim lessons from my mother (who managed the pool) when I was six months old. I still have family in the area but rarely visit during the pool season. This time was different. I called ahead to see if they have adult swim, and they did from 12pm-1pm. This was before regular pool hours. I was greeted with a smile by the manager and she was excited about her first adult swimmer. I asked "for the day?" and she said "of the season!" I walked into the lockerroom and it was like a blast from the past. Nothing had changed. It was as I remembered it as a kid. Some may think that this would be disappointing, but it was not. For an outdoor pool only open 2 1/2 months a year there is little need for luxury. The pool was clean and empty. I was the only adult swimmer the entire week (except when I brought two friends friday.) The cost for the hour was $1!!!!!!!!! I got five hours of exercise in for $5 for the week. You cannot beat that. I also found out that during regular hours it was only $2 for the day. We decided to stay the last day and play. There is a baby pool, a kiddie pool area, a regulation lap area (3.5ft deep) and then the diving area. The diving area is 12ft deep and still has the low board and the high board. I dove a few times and it was a blast. I cannot remember when the last time I had such fun. I hope that more people will start to attend so that I can be assured a spot to swim outside next season.
