This liquor store is an old converted ALCB outlet -- from back in the days when the government…read moremonopolized booze. Remember those good times? Scarce stores? Huge lineups whenever a holiday / special event loomed? Gladly, those days are long gone (too bad for you Ontario and BC -- haha!). But very little has changed inside this store since it was turned over. It stands as a constant reminder to... well... what it must have been like to be the only store in town. The floor area is pretty large, compared to many of the mom and pop strip mall operations. I wouldn't say the selection is dramatically different, though. The wine shelving isn't very high, so they can only carry so much. What I have noticed about this place is that the pricing is quite good compared to others in town. At least on the items I buy frequently. One wine in particular is priced the same as Superstore's liquorstore, and they are by far the cheapest around. This store's worth checking out for the value.
