My nightmare came true.
They showed up a half hour late and didn't have proper equipment.
They started at 5:30 P.M., half hour late to start with and when they loaded boxes on dolly's didn't bungie cord or strap boxes on. I was moving from third floor to first floor. they moved so slow; when I figured out what they were doing they parked the carts at the end of third floor and were carrying boxes down stairs. So I started loading boxes on dolly's to try to hurry things along , I would take one to opposite end of long haul where they were parking them , only to find they hadn't taken any of other boxes down. Don't know what they were doing. They knew they were to move a piano and needed right equipment for it. That alone took them 2 hours to move. By 11:00 P. M. Bruce wanted to go home and come back tomorrow. I said I already told them about our time frame and they had to finish the job. 20 minutes later Bruce said he fell down a whole flight of stairs and my computer desk was broken into pieces. They said this would not have happened had I let them go at 11:00 when they asked. One of the men came back up to inform me they had to take him to the hospital. I asked if the two would come back to finish moving me he said no they couldn't do anymore. Then Bruce came back up two flights of 16 stairs to ask for payment. This made me believe he wasn't hurt at all. Total came to $650. I was the only one with these three movers and felt I should pay them even if they didn't deserve it because it was a bit threatening since I was one women to tree men. Monday they called me and said my credit card did not go through. Went to my bank next morning and it had gone through on the 29th of July, the very same day they did the transaction. Don't trust these people. They have never paid me for my desk either. I forgot I bought these men pizza and power aid for dinner and they took break for 40 min. and still charged me for that time too. read more
