I cannot praise Mackie One highly enough- so glad to have found such a gem. It can be intensely difficult in New Orleans to find a construction company that: 1. Gives a reasonable price 2. Does excellent work and doesn't cut corners 3. Is genuinely warm and accommodating of client needs From the outset, Mackie was friendly, professional, and timely. After taking a look at my home, I received a detailed written estimate with all relevant details, and Mackie agreed to work within a fixed schedule. They clearly and concisely outlined each of the services included in my repair, and took or returned all my calls immediately. They seem to have a system of organization and scheduling that is above and beyond other construction companies. The price they gave me was absolutely reasonable, and the work their skilled carpenter did looks fantastic. I called them a lot over the course of my repairs because I have NEVER EVER had a repair job in New Orleans finish on time, and I was worried this would happen. Honestly, I would have been annoyed taking this many calls from me if I were Mackie One! However, Mackie addressed my stress with tremendous patience and honesty. They are the first company I've ever worked with to finish a job right on time. Repaired, painted, cleaned up- they were right on schedule. Repairs are undeniably stressful, so I was shocked to find I truly enjoyed communicating and interacting with Mackie One. I'm deferring to them for all future repairs, and you should too. read more

Mackie One did a horrible job on my roof and siding. The roof was installed after H. Ida in 2021 and has been RAINING IN MY HOUSE SINCE. The attic is drenched, all my stuff stored is wet. My hardwood floors are buckling. My a c ducts are wet. I'm totally digusted Melissa Jones is an unscrupulous, liar and a poor business liason. Why did I call these charlatans. Why? Mackie wants me to pay them Again to repair Their mistakes. No honoring warranties. Horrible horrible horrible read more

I recently had my entire roof replaced due to some Hurricane Ida damage and am very satisfied with the high quality of the work as well as the overall professionalism of every individual on the Mackie One team that I dealt with. I obtained quotes from 3 roofing companies and selected Mackie One, whose prices was very competitive. The entire transaction was first rate from initial survey through to project completion. The install crew was respectful, very diligent in their work, as well as on-time and responsive. They cleaned up all debris and nails from my yard as well as the neighbors. After the work was completed, Mackie sent an inspector to review the completed job and he noticed a couple of minor issues that should be addressed. Shortly thereafter, the Mackie crew returned to fix these final issues. I highly recommend them for roofing install and/or repairs. read more

Today my neighbour had her roof replaced by Mackie One and now MY yard is full of roof debris including nails sticking point up. I called Mackie One to alert them to this and they didn't care. They did not apologize and they did not offer to clean it up. At one point, I looked into my backyard to find their ladder in my yard. I find Mackie One's performance today to be very unprofessional and I would never use this company. read more
