They have a nice selection of gifts and are the only Pandora retailer in town. I love Spartina and…read morethey carry that. In fact, in the last month I have spent around $300 in Heartstrings. However, I am going to have to find a different shop. I was there last Saturday and spent $126. I needed one item wrapped and because that item was less than $30 (it was a frame and it cost $21) - they charged me $3 to wrap it. Ridiculous. They can clearly see how much money I spend in there because they ask for phone number & look you up every time. It's very disappointing. I make a point of shopping local to support our community. For some reason this review is in my son's name but my name is Angie Willis and my phone is 270-535-5043.

We ordered flowers, the "Sweetest Touch" bouquet from this shop to send to a close friend who had…read moresuddenly lost her mother. We specifically looked for a small business to support instead of a chain. My mother placed the order after seeing a bouquet design on the shop's Facebook page that she really liked. She specifically requested a similar look and asked that eucalyptus be included. She upgraded to the premium option for $69.99 to allow flexibility in achieving that design. She attempted to call to clarify details but reached a recording directing her to order online instead. After tax and delivery her order total was $91.79. When our friend received the bouquet on Saturday, she sent us a photo. Unfortunately, it looked nothing like the inspiration image in terms of overall flow and design. (To be clear, our concern was not about color substitutions or specific flowers being out of stock, but about the structure and aesthetic of the arrangement.) I contacted the shop and spoke directly with the owner. I explained that we were disappointed with the design, specifically the way the flowers were in rows. During the conversation, I felt the owner was defensive and frequently spoke over me while I was attempting to verify order details. She suggested my mother may have been confused about what she ordered and mentioned that certain flowers had been replaced due to availability. She also noted that the eucalyptus included--approximately a stem and a half--was added "as a favor," despite the upgrade to the premium bouquet. The owner requested a photo to confirm the arrangement had been delivered properly. I texted her the same photo our friend had sent us. She claimed the image appeared edited or inverted, which it was not. (The text on the card is clearly readable in the photo.) She then suggested it was simply taken from a "bad angle" and then implied it was because the card had been opened. When I reiterated that the bouquet was for someone grieving the sudden loss of her mother and that we were simply disappointed in the design, I heard laughter from the shop owner. Whether intentional or not, given the context, this felt extremely hurtful and inappropriate. She stated she didn't mean to laugh but she didn't see the difference between the photo online and the bouquet we received and that even her other designer didn't understand. The owner asked whether the recipient herself was unhappy or if it was just me, and offered to send an additional vase of flowers. I declined, as our concern was about the design we had already paid for. She suggested my mother should have requested a custom arrangement or increased her budget. However, as floral professionals, we would have appreciated clearer communication upfront about what was possible within the selected price range. There were other arrangements displayed at similar price points that appeared more cohesive, fuller and thoughtfully designed. The owner ultimately offered 50% off a future order. Unfortunately, we do not live locally, and our friend was only there temporarily for the funeral. More importantly, we did not feel comfortable placing another order after this experience. What would have made a difference was simple acknowledgment: "I'm sorry we didn't meet your expectations. Let us make it right with a replacement or refund." That level of accountability and empathy goes a long way, especially when flowers are being sent during a time of loss. We are sharing this experience so others can make an informed decision.

( I even asked if the flowers were real!). They were! I am very pleased with BG Bloom Room. They are an exceptional florist! Thank you Andi with BG Bloom. You make the world beautiful in every way!
