I…read morehave tried out dozens of different places worldwide and I can safely say that this is a great place to go and treat yourself. When it comes to massages price is no issue. I like cosy, clean and tastefully decorated spaces. There needs to be a warm, safe and luxurious feel to the place and I avoid clinical over the top contemporary modern style or places where the girls have these vulgar manicures - no offense. Spasiba is well located on Boulevard de Waterloo. There is plenty of parking outside, so no stress. On arrival you are given a thick cotton dressing gown and comfortable slippers. Then you go through the doors and enter a safe haven of calm. A waiting room lit by candle lights, with oriental sofa beds filled with cushions and curtains for privacy. A sauna and a hammam are also an option prior your massage. After using the spa facilities, relaxing and drinking a infused tea which is placed at your disposal on a table in the waiting room, you are called for your massage. By the time it is finished you can go back to the waiting room and relax, use the spa or take a shower and go home. Last time my massage was so relaxing that I slept for 2 hours straight after! I would give you the names of the masseurs I recommend but if I do that then I might not be able to get appointments for myself any more! I recommend this place and for you to discover!!

It was my first time ever trying yoga. It took one gentle yoga class with Emanuelle to convince me and there I was buying their 10 classes for 120 euros subscription. Maybe not the cheapest offer but the teacher, ambiance, spotless facilities, their amazing client service is worth every penny. Less Zara shopping this month I've also tried their back massage and it was fantastic. I look forward to different ones, even though they are a bit pricey. Last, they have all kind of events and special wellness days which all sound interesting. It's a place where you can really leave behind your worries and enjoy some time for yourself! Clean and spacious stay. Hubby and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in August. We usually like…read moreNovotels because it's a good value for what you're getting. We booked a Superior Double Room. Here are some pros and cons: Pros: -Lots of space in the room -Mini fridge -Free bottle of water each day -Centrally located. We were able to walk everywhere. The Grand Palace was a 5 minute walk, there's a huge shopping street about a 10 minute walk away. The metro is 2-3 blocks away but we didn't even need to take it (except to get from the train station) -There's a Carrefour Express 2 blocks away and a Chinese supermarket one block away -Plenty of restaurants and cuisine options nearby. But a lot of them are tourist trap since it's located so close to square so just be sure to do your research before going -There is an indoor pool but we didn't get the chance to go because there were too many kids playing around -Lots of sink counter space in the bathroom. I also liked that the toilet was in a separate room -They were really nice about luggage storage. We left our large luggage to go to Bruges. When we returned, we still had a few hours before our train so they let us add our duffel to the storage too Cons -Lots of construction out in front. You don't hear any of the noise but it is a bit annoying to get to the entrance, especially if you have large luggage -No luggage rack available -No bottle or wine opener. We bought beer one night and had to bring it down to the front desk to open it -You need to rent the umbrellas but it's pretty cheap. It was a few Euros for the whole day but I think if you forget to return it or lose it, you'll have to pay €25 Not sure if I'd return to Brussels, but this Novotel is a great option if you are looking to explore the city.

I've been to many wellness resorts but this place is exceptional, I keep coming back :)…read moreIt's huge: there is a swimsuit or nude area and they are different, I sometimes do them both. Rain showers, panoramic sauna, water tunnels, swimming pools in and outside, salt water bath with underwater music where you can drift away... They are still expanding, now there is a jacuzzi outside too. The restaurant is fantastic, I've tried almost everything from the menu and it's all delicious. Tasty big fries! A large choice of healthy and more special drinks. Water with fresh mint, lemon or orange is included in the price. I often take a package, the lobster package is my favourite, very reasonably priced... Or a combi ticket wellness/fitness, check their website for prices and reservations. From time to time they are on Groupon and do -50% actions on the entrance prices (on the site) . The fitness is spacious and always almost empty when I go there in daytime, so it's more relaxing than those places in the city stuffed with sweatty people. I usually stay about five hours and in that case I cannot do everything, so if you really want to do everything you should count a whole day... They do treatments and massages as well, haven't tried them yet.

Hugely disappointed for my 50th birthday due to the lack of empathy and customer service…read more On 21/12/21 I get a voucher from WW to use it as a present for my birthday that day. At least this is what I thought was the intention, because you only celebrate half a century once! When they arrive, they casually say that this does not apply DURING the school holidays. My children and those of my partner who was with me have their last exams today and as a result the Christmas holidays will not start until 27/12/21! Not possible, WW was completely full and the voucher could not be used, strange because I could still book and reserve?! In previous years this was never a problem ON MY BIRTHDAY. It is a pity that no more effort could be made here towards the customer and please do not give a voucher on someone's birthday if it is not possible to use it. I don't see the point in it and with a little empathy, smile and customer care this would have been a nice experience. Unfortunately, the empathy and open-mindedness were lacking. No problem paying this afternoon, but don't use the gift voucher next time and respect the holiday periods. Sometimes a little kindness and out of the box thinking is worth a lot more! 1 customer more or less doesn't make a difference, but it certainly does for me!

Went with a friend who had a Groupon to visit (with the Groupon deal, not expensive, otherwise this…read moreplace can be a bit pricey). Located in Tour&Taxis, nicely decorated and relaxing feel--although this is my first Hammam, it had a more authentic feel according to what others told me traditional Hammams are like. Women and men have strictly separate visits/times (as this place is mostly frequented by Middle Eastern women/men) so it makes for a more comfortable atmosphere being around women. People tend to go in groups, whether with friends or family members. You are able to go nude or wear a swimsuit. Towels, slippers and bath robe are provided/included in the price. Must speak French, very little/no knowledge of English or Dutch (some, those doing the gommage don't speak much French either) but this is not a problem as you are there to enjoy yourself and have little interaction with those working there. I would definitely recommend the gommage, which is a sticky scrub you put on your body and exfoliating glove is needed too. After you put the sticky scrub all over your body you are basically scrubbed to death with your glove by a woman, which removes all your dead skin (disgusting to see all the dead skin you have on your body!). It hurts a bit when being done, but my skin felt so nice after! Sauna and hot room are also in the spa. I enjoyed having the sauna offered as a dry, hot place after being in the wet rooms most of the time. I would also recommend having a pot of sweet Morrocan tea afterwards as there is a nice area where you can sit (and eat too) to enjoy your drink, which consists mostly of soft couches. One criticism: in my experience the customer service wasn't that great as they forgot to give us the towels, robe, slippers so we were waiting around for them to be taken to us, when in the end, we went back to the front desk to get them. Also, after paying for my glove and gommage scrub, they forgot to provide this to me as well. This was a bit annoying but in the end not a problem or anything that ruined the experience. Would recommend as a half-day, day getaway in Brussels!

But, it you are seeking a deep tissue massage; this is not the place. I asked for their strongest person, as I am a big man with musculature and wanted to be worked, deep. Made an appointment for a 90 minute massage for the following day. I was assigned to kinesiologist Sara who, while certainly knowledgeable, is simply too small and not strong enough to dig deeply into the body. She found and worked on some trouble spots and did that well; but the overall massage went barely below the skin. It was pleasant, but eminently unsatisfying. I think this is more a women's place and that men are "extra." I saw many women there, many in hijab, giving me the post-impression that it is more a luxury spa than a place for active massage. Worth a try, a tad expensive, relaxing if that is what is sought.
