I am a business owner and I love pampering myself, so I go for a massage at least once a month. I…read morehave tried out dozens of different places worldwide and I can safely say that this is a great place to go and treat yourself. When it comes to massages price is no issue. I like cosy, clean and tastefully decorated spaces. There needs to be a warm, safe and luxurious feel to the place and I avoid clinical over the top contemporary modern style or places where the girls have these vulgar manicures - no offense. Spasiba is well located on Boulevard de Waterloo. There is plenty of parking outside, so no stress. On arrival you are given a thick cotton dressing gown and comfortable slippers. Then you go through the doors and enter a safe haven of calm. A waiting room lit by candle lights, with oriental sofa beds filled with cushions and curtains for privacy. A sauna and a hammam are also an option prior your massage. After using the spa facilities, relaxing and drinking a infused tea which is placed at your disposal on a table in the waiting room, you are called for your massage. By the time it is finished you can go back to the waiting room and relax, use the spa or take a shower and go home. Last time my massage was so relaxing that I slept for 2 hours straight after! I would give you the names of the masseurs I recommend but if I do that then I might not be able to get appointments for myself any more! I recommend this place and for you to discover!!

The pool needs a complete refurbishment: tiles are missing, there are very bad smells, steam room and showers are in ruins. Aspria is planning to refurbish them but I think a deeper renovation needs to take place. As far as the fitness room is concerned there are too few bikes and elliptic machines for the number of members. In addition, screens on some of them are broken. The carpets are dirty and not very hygienic. Recent renovations are mainly small fixes (new paint on some parts of the walls and sofas in fabric which make little sense since many sit on them with their wet bathing suits). I would not recommend signing up as prices are too high. Wait and see what management does... Team (especially reception team and the lady cleaning up the ladies' changing rooms) are very nice.

It was a wonderful experience and they really take their time and don't rush their process which is nice if you want a relaxing hour or more at the beauty salon. I will be coming back! DO NOT GET WAXING DONE FROM QUO VADIS BEAUTY & WELLNESS CENTER. I dislike writing negative reviews,…read morebut I had such an awful experience that I felt it necessary to warn those who are looking for waxing while in Brussels. Honestly, I have NO idea how their waxing reviews are so great. I'm no stranger to waxing, but have NEVER had an experience like this. The woman waxing me didn't wear gloves and by the time I realized that she had been REUSING THE SAME WAXING STICK THROUGHOUT THE SESSION it was too late for me to do anything. During the wax, the woman kept opening the door and leaving while I was bottomless with my legs spread apart and wax left on my body. And then, even though I specifically kept asking, gesturing, etc. for her to leave a little hair on my labia because I have sensitive skin, she waxed it anyway. To add insult to injury, it has now come to my attention that she actually lifted patches of skin off of my pelvic area, leaving me with painful red blotches and an obvious burn. To her credit, when I expressed how upset I was with the wax, she didn't charge me. Thank goodness, though, because it has cost me that much at the pharmacy to pick up anti-bacterial sprays and creams just to try soothing the damage that had been done. Needless to say, I'm still livid. The kicker? When I asked to see the manager, it turned out that she was the manager. Thank you for not charging me, but this should never have been an issue.

The employees here are extremely kind and accommodating. I'm a woman who gets her hair cut very…read moreshort and I like to get the sides faded. Traditional salons for women always know how to cut the top portion of my hair but are complete crap when it comes to anything fade related. And I mean....complete trash. The reality is, if a woman wants a clean fade, she's going to have to find a barber who is comfortable and competent enough to securely go at a woman's coif. And the sad reality is---that when a woman walks into a traditional barber --- she's almost always guaranteed to be made to feel like she has made a mistake. This was the case when I first walked into Salon Rodolphe. I had used the yelp app to schedule my appointment. I thought I was scheduling with an employee---ends up---I was scheduling with Rodolphe himself. Sweet baby jesus, had I known that, I would have let them know that anyone could have cut my hair. FYI---don't use the yelp app to schedule with this Salon---unfortunately it took me about a week and a half to get an appointment squared away using it. So, not the most reliable. You may be better off calling ahead for an appointment. The day I walked in, sure enough, the front desk woman was utterly perplexed. Apparently my appointment wasn't on their regular books. Lo and behold....that was because I had scheduled with the boss man. I'll admit---I was pretty embarrassed, because I'm fairly certain that with the amount of work an owner of a Salon has to do---coming down from his office upstairs and into the shop to cut my hair....isn't high on his list of "things that I need to get done today to help my business succeed." Major face palm on my behalf. While each of the three employees I interacted with that day were utterly flabbergasted as to why, me---a woman was coming to their salon---I will definitively say---that they were never rude, or short or impolite with me. However, being very confused, shuffling me around, not knowing what was going on or who I had scheduled with and looking at me like I had walked a unicorn into the shop to request it's horn to be polished---did make me feel very out of place. Once the boss man Rodolphe walked in----he was EXTREMELY gracious. This is a man that radiates professionalism, courtesy, and confidence. With that being said, I can tell you right now, I wouldn't have been comfortable laying out my needs with hair cutting. Once I realized that it was an owner cutting my hair, I basically decided to sit down, shut up and enjoy the ride. lol....knowing full well, my head full of curls was about to be tamed in a way that I didn't want it to be. The cut I got was EXCELLENT---if I were looking for thinned out, straightened hair. Mind you, I have VERY thick hair. It's incredibly dense and full, and most hair stylists are used to clients who want their hair thinned out and texturized. Now, personally, I LOVE my uncontrollably curly hair and I LOVE how thick it is. I don't want it to be thinned out and I don't want it to be texturized. I just want straight scissor work. I wish I had had the guts to tell Rodolphe this---because I'm fairly certain that if I had, I would have come out with the best cut of my life. Mind you---the cut I got was beautiful. But by the time we were done, my curls were gone. Two weeks later, because the cut was super effective, the curls still haven't come back. They'll come back eventually once they aren't scared or pissed off at me anymore. :) Between the thinning sheers and the razor cutting (Both of which kill curls but give you fantastic straight hair if that's what you rock....) my curls went cest la vie. I really appreciate that barber shops do the whole close razor shave to clean up your neck and the set up of this shop is brilliant. The sink where they wash your hair is right there at the station where they cut your hair. So when the cut is done and they need to wash you up, they just spin you around and dunk you. :) The atmosphere and shop here is so lovely and chic. They have beautiful black and white photography on the walls, and it's so clean and bright. It's conveniently located off Ave Louise. Definitely go here if you have straight hair and are looking to be pampered. I absolutely didn't think that the pricing was too expensive. I truly feel that for the quality that you receive here (And every customer I saw getting serviced was getting the same quaity service I was getting from the owner)....you are paying a fair price for what you are getting. The last inconvenience was when I was paying. I had a 100 euro bill and it took them having to go to the upper office to break the bill. I really think this salon is excellent, but for my style and texture of hair, it's probably not the best place. Curly folk look elsewhere.

[ENG] This is the best spa I have tried in Belgium. So why…read moreonly 3 stars out of 5? Because on the European scale, it does not hold the comparison. Not for the requested price. Belgium has still a lot to learn (and a lot to gain) from proper wellness business. Let's get started: The PROs: - Infrastructure and atmosphere are relatively good, especially on summer days with the entire park next to the castle made available for sunbathing. (no textile allowed there apart from your bathrobe though. So if you are rather prudish, forget about it and keep to the textile area) - Various saunas and steambaths available for every taste, as well as a nice pool of respectable size and a couple hottubs/jacuzzis. - The food from the Restaurant was OK-Brasserie quality and the prices were typical from what you find in Brussels. (I haven't tried it since they changed the menu though) The CONs: - The staff. Seriously, in a wellness center, these are the people supposed to make you feel good. Instead, most of the time, they gave you the feeling you are a burden to them. (and this applies from the massage therapists to the restaurant waiters. For the reception the experience was variable. Sometimes fine, sometimes not.) Not good at all. - No water (fountain, etc.) available for free in between the saunas. And you are forbidden to bring your own. This seems rather a cheap way to force you to buy the 1L water bottle at the bar for €4,5 - The price. €32 per person for a day entry. Compare to Therme Erding in Germany where you pay 38€ for the day and you get access to a complex 10 times the size of this one, with a caring staff, plenty of restaurant options, dozens of different saunas and relaxation areas, one of the best slides area in Europe, this suddenly sounds overpriced. - The locker room distribution: when arriving at the spa, you get assigned a locker in the locker room. It seems they have a rather lousy computer system as each time we got there we were assigned a locker directly next to other peope who also just arrived while other sections were completely empty. And as there isn't really a changing cabin for each person (only one per section), this makes it rather awkward for everyone. Conclusion: Again, like other places in Belgium, it is the current service low level and the rather overpriced day entry which keep this place from becoming a 5-star must-go. These are easy fixes and if the management cares about his customers, it will take action.
