First, all persons at MacGregors are top notch on the customer service level, from the phone folks to the technician. When I called originally, I asked if there was an hourly charge, and they indicated it was billed by the job. The problem was that I had a slowly leaking faucet, and after he was done, it leaked even faster. To their credit, the office folks called right back and the tech did come back the next day right away and fixed it, and did not charge me additional labor, but did charge me for the part that could have gone in on the first visit. I think he was trying to save me money, but in the long run, I just wanted it fixed. He did come back and fixed it properly, so I may try them again, but the $40 travel charge, and another $140 for an hour's labor and some gaskets seems like a lot. I then had to pay for the part the next day, so it was a costly little drip! read more

Joe S. came out to inspect our furnace at our vacation property in Boyne City last Friday. He arrived on time, was very polite, knowledgeable, and took his time to explain what he was doing, why he was doing it and answered all my questions. He performed the service in a quick, but professional manner and advised me of a few things that I might do to prolong the life of our furnace. My wife and I were very pleased with the service call. We have had MacGregor out to our home two times in the last year, for separate issues and have been very satisfied on both occasions. We would recommend them to anyone in the area needing plumbing or heating service. read more

Phil my service tech did a wonderful job and I couldn't be happier with the work. I have recently moved to the area and I needed a quick clean of the furnace before the winter months hit. Well, Phil showed up right on time with a smile on his face and a profesional attitude. He immediately got to work and within a short time he had completed the job. We sat down and he discussed the services he performed and also talked about any future services I may need. He was easy to talk to and I felt as though I could trust what he had to say. I recommend MacGregor highly and if you are lucky Phil will be your service tech. read more

The folks at MacGregor Plumbing are all very helpful, courteous, and respectful and Eric C was no exception. He arrived on time and presented himself in a very friendly and respectful manner. I felt that he was calm, centered, and competent. He was efficient doing the job he came for and helped me to consider answers to several other plumbing issues I had. He even did some research after he left my home and called me back with some recommendations. I'd also like to mention Leslie who is always polite and helpful when I call for an appointment and to notify me when a technician is on the way. read more

A huge shout out to Don and Mason for their fabulous work installing our washer and dryer. They are just two of the nicest guys; kind, courteous and professional. ( they even wore booties) It's was such a positive experience that I'd give them 10 stars if I could! It means a lot when two plumbers arrive at my door in clean uniforms, with a welcoming smile and gentle presence. In addition, the woman who makes the appointments is such a sweetheart and is also so kind and a pleasure to talk with on the phone. This company is a class act and I highly reccomend them. read more

MacGregor has been doing work in our cottage for over 20 years. My garbage disposal gave out two days before a large group of company was to arrive. I called MacGregor on a Thursday afternoon and by Friday afternoon the new unit had been installed. The service technician (John Gay) arrived on time, had all of the necessary equipment with him, and was courteous and professional. He removed the old disposal and installed the new one in less than an hour. I have complete confidence in MacGregor...they have always come through for us. read more

Leslie is very courteous and easy to speak to for scheduling appointments. Joe H. had been to our home a couple of times previously. He is very competent and courteous, as well as helpful to notice other problems in our home. He noted that our pressure tank had gone bad, unbeknownst to us. He was good to suggest that maybe a larger tank would be a thought. We found one and he made it fit, though some minor changes had to be made to accommodate the new tank. Will definitely use them again! Wade K. read more

John called me back promptly after I left the service call. Arrived quickly and checked everything out for me. He was very honest and pleasant.
