That is not to say that the selection and service in here is in anyway not top drawer. Well, top drawer is maybe a bit of a stretch. The store is always clean and tidy, the staff are always friendly and helpful and you can usually find everything you need in here if you are popping in for a pint or milk or a loaf of bread. There is good parking here and an ATM which is always handy. It is also in a good location, with excellent access to the Belfast and Newtownards roads. There is certainly no real reason not to call in here. You won't be able to do a full weeks shop in here, you will need to go to Tesco or whatever for that but you certainly will be able to get plenty of what you need in this wee shop.

This was…read morethe first time I had been in this relatively new branch of Nisa and I was shocked at what it had to offer. Firstly the store is deceptively big and you could easily complete your weekly shop here. They have a huge cold drink and snack selection and they also have an off license at the back of the store. The selection of alcohol isn't amazing but they have all the usual suspects. One thing to note is that there's a minimum spend if you ant to use your debit or credit card. This happened to me but rather than pick up unwanted items to make your purchase up to £5 you can use the in store ATM. There's a whole load of bargains in this Nisa so you'll more than likely come out of the shop with items you didn't intend on buying.

This petrol station has been here for quite a while and is always busy but the fact you can pay at…read morethe pump is a massive help because it really, really speeds things up. Being Tesco as well, it means that you can usually get clubcard points or use them to get money of petrol and it that can usually get some of the price down off filling up the tank. The wee shop her is actually quite good and stocks everything you will need for a wee snack or to grab a drink and a sandwich to take on a long car journey. It has a good selection of papers as well, which is really handy because you don't always want to go all the way into the big Tescos to pick up the Sunday papers. Based nice and close to main roads, really handy.

The mace serves its purpose as the shop to run in and run out of. We all have times when we need a…read morequick stop and the Mace is the shop for that stop. That was all a little bit confusing but let me explain. When I need to get something in a hurry I am usually going to be passing the Mace. The other day I needed milk desperately, I have a really bad tea addiction you see, and the place I stopped to get it was the Mace. I jumped out of the car, left the engine running, got the milk and was on my way in no time. No Fuss+ Milk for tea= Happy! There is a good little lay by to park in outside the Mace and they accept card payments on any transactions so this is always helpful when you get so desperate for caffeine that you forget to lift change.

First up - this Tesco store isn't 24 hours, don't be caught out! It does have extended opening hour but it's definitely not open all the time. The car park is huge and there's a bottle bank and recycling point right at the back - a handy place to get rid of those post party bottles. The shop itself is huge. They have a Timpsons locksmiths at the entrance so if you need to get a key cut or a shoe mended you can leave it in here and pick it up when you've done your shop. There's also an optician at the back of the store so if you are confusing potatoes and tomatoes I'd pop in here for a check up. A recent addition to this store is the home ware and electronics department which pretty much covers every area. The only thing holding this store back is the lack of manned check outs. They seem to have invested heavily in self service areas but the problem is that most people come here for a big shop and not a few bits therefore rendering these useless as no one wants to stand and scan 1 million items. Really convenient store with loads of wee extras to make life a bit simpler - A-OK!

Its open 24 hours which is a plus, which I have had to make use of a number of times due to shopping emergencies etc. The only reason I did not give it a 5 Star is because when you do make use of the 24 hour service, some of the Isles are closed off with the staff replenishing stock levels which can be quite annoying especially if you are after something in particular. The store has a scan as shop service which is really convenient, you scan the items as you shop, place them into your bags in the trolley then pay for everything at the end of your shop! There is also a 24 hour garage at the Tesco which again comes in handy.

OK, so I recently forgot to get my mum a present for mothers day. Unforgivable obviously so I did…read morethe whole panic thing and bolted to the nearest store. I was in Newtownards at the time of remembering and Rosevale Spar was on my way. Chocolates. And flowers. Can't lose with getting chocolates and flowers! If only it had been as easy as that. It being mothers day, there wasn't a big selection of flowers left and what there were, weren't looking so great. So, ok. No flowers then. It'll have to be chocolates then. (And this is where my review starts....) I find the chocolates, of which there wasn't a big selection and to my complete horror I find the boxes covered in dust. Not a good impression, but hey, I can dust them off. Then I check the use by date. Not just days out of date, not just a month : EIGHT months OUT OF DATE. A quick inspection found that this was not just one random box. The vast majority of the chocolate gift boxes were out of date! Needless to say, I did not purchase flowers, nor chocolates from the store! I did however get a fantastic bunch of flowers somewhere else and my mother still loves me so all's well that ends well!
