They told me they would not finance me for it because of the miles and proceeded to show me another car, which was newer than I had wanted to get for a first car, the sales person said it had been serviced that day and had nothing wrong with it, we noticed the passenger door had been damaged after test drive, and had them fix that, so that was resolved, but she assured me nothing was wrong with the car. I had voiced my concerns about having another long loan to pay on because the one I wanted to get was around $7,000 and with my down payment and being able to get financing I would have owed less. This one was $15,000 or more, when it was all said and done I owe $12,200, but since it's newer I went ahead and believed her that it was reliable, working good, and thought since it was a 2018, low miles, it would be a reliable car for my son, and we were able to come to an agreement with payments. Got home a few days later engine light comes on, tire pressure light comes on, power steering light comes on, fan motor is loud, message the sales person, set up a time to come in and have it looked at, they said they would work with me and help pay half and I pay half, I had explained, I work paycheck to paycheck. They charge me over $300 to look at the car, then gave me an estimate of over $5000 of things that needed fixed, including the thermostat, intake manifold, break pads, suspension, alignment, new battery, etc...I was so aggravated, I feel like I was taken advantage of, they just want to make money, they're just vulchers, they don't care about their customers, only about what money goes in their pockets. While we were waiting there one day when they had to fix the messed up door, another customer was talking about how he purchased a car from there and has been back 4 times, snd and he's had nothing but problems. I will never purchase from them, or take my vehicle there to be fixed, I do not trust a thing they say, after taking the estimate from Dorsett to mechanics around here, the manager had to go show all of his other guys and they laughed at how ridiculous it was that they were charging, and couldn't believe it. Don't buy from them, unless you want to just throw your money away..

Toyota of Terre Haute - Paint falling off car.

Toyota of Terre Haute

My experience with Toyota of Terre Haute has not been good. I purchased my 2013 Toyota Rav4 limited…read morecar from Toyota back in 2017. The car now has 90,000 miles on it. We have taken the best care of it wanting it to last many years. In 2022 the paint started peeling off overnight in sheets on the top of the car. We took it to Toyota who told us they would fix it. They had the car 3-4 days and only repainted the very top of the car where the sunroof was. Last year the hood started peeling in the same way. I took the car to Scott's custom colors and he offered to paint it for $500. So I did the hood out of my own pocket. Now the back passenger door is peeling and I'm being quoted $2500.00 by several places to get this piece fixed. Toyota tells me the time limit for fixing this for them is up to this was a problem with the paint color blizzard pearl. It doesn't stick properly to the car. They have known about this issue for years. Many of their cars made before 2018 had this issue. Why didn't they paint the whole car when the issue began and I took it to them the first time or at the very least help me fix it now? I was told it would cost $10,000 to repaint my whole car. My car is basically ruined. Toyota has brushed me off. When I took the car in for them to take pictures, they told me they would get back to me within 2 weeks. They were going to check into fixing it. They never called and Fred the general manager of service never sent the pictures in. They arent interested in helping. We have bought 4 cars from Toyota of terre haute. This is the way they treat loyal customers. I like Toyotas but won't buy from this dealership again.

Jeff, the Internet Sales Manager, responded quickly and kept working after hours to get everything ready for me. When I showed up at the dealership the next day, the process was smooth and efficient, and they gave me exactly what I expected for my trade in. Overall I had a phenomenal experience!

VENT TIME!!!! I have bought 4 vehicles off of Terre Haute…read moreChevrolet and for the most part been treated well and have gotten good deals......UNTIL TWO YEARS AGO. I bought a 2009 Chevy AVALANCHE, good trucks. I know this cause it's the second one I bought from them. The check engine light came on before I even got it home. So I called them and they said bring it back "WE'LL TAKE CARE OF IT " right, for $300 they took care of it. And actually they didn't replace the sensor. Said I re-tested it and it was fine. Said he was glad he checked it again because to replace sensor he'd have to drop the gas tank. So 7 months later other messages started showing up on my dash. They said as long as they weren't blinking it should be fine. So a few months later they started blinking. I took it in for them to check it out. THANK GOD I BOUGHT THE WARRANTY!! They gave me a list $13,000 long that needed fixed. Hell I only paid $12,000 for the truck. The warranty covered $8,300 of the repairs, thank God or I'd would have had a piece of junk to pay for. The warranty didn't cover the brakes and they wanted too much to replace them, so I went elsewhere cause it was only $300 per axle and included rotors, (theirs didn't). The phone call I got made me soooo angry, it's going to be a bit more, he said due to the lines and master cylinder were RUSTED BAD!! I said okay, I needed to be able to stop! So now I have a new front end and new front brakes, rotors, master cylinders and brake lines. Now two weeks ago I find out.....IT'S AGAINST THE LAW TO SELL A VEHICLE WITH A RUSTED FRAME!!!! Why would I have found this out????? Because my strap that holds my gas tank on has rusted and the frame to hook it to is RUSTED!!!! I took it to 3 mechanics that said this truck has sat in water for a long period of time, like a hurricane or tornado or flood. They said it had to be like that when they sold it to me. THAT WAS THE REASON THE GUY AT CHEVROLET DIDN'T WANT TO DROP THE GAS TANK!!! There was nothing to reattach the strap to. As soon as I find a lawyer to take this case I'm going to sue their asses. Soooo WHEN YOU BUY A VEHICLE PLEASE TAKE IT TO YOUR MECHANIC FOR AN INSPECTION ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A WOMAN AND DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT VEHICLES. RANT OVER!!!!! FOR NOW.j $1350 to fix the issue!!!!

Would not recommend Terre Haute Chevrolet | New & Used Cars, Trucks & SUVs…read more Specifically Chris, Hollie, and James from the Service Garage Caleb's car sat in their service garage for 3 days with an issue with absolutely no communication from the service team whatsoever. Caleb would have to call for updates and typically they would say they would return his call and never did. Charged us to tell us about a problem that we already knew about even though it was a miscommunication on their part. Then was promised 20% off "for our troubles" and didn't even get that. When I called back to try and get the problem solved they had conveniently already left for the day. One of the worst experiences with a service garage. This business is an absolute joke. Wishing there was an option for zero stars!

last year around this time I took my 2009 Ford Mustang to mace as I have been for the last half of…read morea decade. The reason why, I thought we had built a certain level of trust between us. Man was I wrong. I was supposed to have exhaust gaskets changed out, oil change, tires rotated. It was a total of over 500$ which I paid in full at pickup. Well I took note of the tires before I dropped the car off, after I picked it up I noticed that the tires had not been rotated. I checked the bill and yes I was charged for it. So I went back in and Jordan called the tech over who worked on my car(which is precious btw) and this tech wasn't a tech at all he was a student or something that had worked on cars there before and they were short handed due to Covid? Well thanks a lot, if I would've known that I would've waited or taken my car elsewhere. When I pointed out the tire had not been rotated the tech explained to Jordan that he didn't have time? Jordan said to make an appointment to bring it back to have the work that I have already paid for to be done? Now that's a huge pain in my ass and by this g the one I'm not feeling it with the staff at Mace. So I made the appointment and reacged out to them via their web site. I got in contact with BradleyMace who seemed genuinely concerned and apologetic but the real Brad came out after a few emails and he really didn't give a damn about the shorty work done on my car or making amends. So Mace owes me money still to this day, now mind you I've spent a couple grand a year in their shop, didn't matter. I'm in the market for a new mustang, didn't matter. So I've taken my business elsewhere. Just the other day I was checking out my plug wires and noticed the exhaust gaskets literally exposed. On closer evaluation Mace never even hit the holes with bolts that are preset in the gasket itself. How this place is still in business I will never know. They do not give a hoot about you, your vehicle, your business, or your hard earned dime(other than finding a way to swindle you out of it). Never again and hopefully this will help someone out there not make the same mistake tgat I did.......trusting Mace in Terre Haute. Hey Brad, told you so!
