I am a long time client of Your Man Friday and have always had great service from them. I started…read morewith them because they were a small business with ties to the local community with personal care and good communication. I was sad When Greg retired and sold the business but also excited for him. I had hoped that the new owners would respect the legacy that he built with the clients and community but sadly that doesn't seem to be the case. I definitely feel that the customer service they provided is a thing of the past and will be taking my business elsewhere.

My husband was a client at YMF since 2015. I usually prepped all our files for YMF to complete his…read moretaxes, but unfortunately he got cancer and I became his caretaker in 2023. He died in 2024. I did not complete his 2022 taxes, and I reached out to YMF to complete his 2022s and 2023s. After not receiving a response to my email or call for 2 weeks, I followed up with them via phone. I was told that they could not do it before the 10/15 extension deadline, which was fine. But then I was told they wouldn't do his taxes at all. Yes, they knew he died. I can understand not taking on new customers, but he had been a customer for many years. I am stunned by the poor customer service. YMF used to be great - I referred many people there over the years. I cannot believe this is how they treat their customers.

I called frequently to get an update on what was being done but never got any help. As deadlines approached and passed, I asked for all my paperwork to be returned. I've been a client of Howard for several years now, working to resolve old tax liabilities. The…read moretruth is that I've been incredibly irresponsible in handling my tax obligations. Once I failed to file one year it just snowballed, and I haven't filed in literally decades. The 2018 tax year will be the first year I file on time since something like 1997. Howard has delivered results far above my expectations. What I thought was going to be an insurmountable problem, Howard has turned into a very manageable one with pretty easy to pay monthly payments. Howard's knowledge of the inner workings of the IRS runs deep and wide. He has personal connections there. His follow up is timely and has kept me on schedule moving towards resolution. Howard's communication is crisp, pithy, and clear. He is a consummate professional. Howard's work has provided me with something invaluable; my constant fear has abated. I've been carrying this burden of constantly being afraid of being caught and arrested by the authorities, and it has affected me in a million little ways: driving around, using the internet, banking, living situation with landlords, credit availability, etc. Thank you Howard - your work is a gift.

I've been working with Edwin for a couple of years now. I was referred to him by a good friend, and…read moreI couldn't be happier with his work! Edwin is very knowledgeable (arguably the most important aspect of working with a CPA!!), but above and beyond that is his personability and friendliness. I REALLY like working with people who are not only good at their jobs, but are also just simply good people. Edwin is exactly that. He has helped me with my personal taxes, my business taxes, and has also helped me set up my most recent LLC. (Yes, I'm a business owner - so if you are looking for someone who can help with small business issues, Edwin's your guy). Also, Edwin is very proactive. For a rather scattered person like myself, that is a lifesaver. Just today I received in my inbox my 2017 tax planner from Edwin. It's a checklist and action planner based on my previous years filings and activity so I know (quite literally) what boxes that I need to check off. Taxes are never fun, but at least with a great CPA, they can be relatively painless! Give Edwin a call right now - you'll be happy you did!!!
