I asked for Plaza to retrieve it immediately and they said it was "unsanitary." It was in perfect, pristine condition when it left our home. Plaza did not return the pillow, despite repeated pleas. Plaza claimed that the decedent 'spit up' on the pillow, and I told them I still wanted it back no matter its condition. They refused. The fate of the pillow should have been the consumer's decision, NOT the funeral home's. This part of the series of events was very upsetting for our family.
