He is ideal for patients who are nervous or anxious. It is never true to say that going to the dentist is pain free, but he makes sure you knwo when something bad is going to happen, so you can prepare yourself. He is very gentle with the injections (I have had dentists who leave you sore for a week afterwards) and he is very professional and explains all your options. Although they only accept kids as NHS patients, they have a scheme where you can pay monthly or you can be a private patient for quite reasonable fees.

Had 2 crowns and 2 veneers done at Kiss dental 8 years ago, mr Lee did a fantastic job. Dentists I…read morehad seen during those years always commented on what a good job they had done. One of the crowns broke which wasn't a problem something you might expect after the 8 years. Went back to Kiss dental for a replacement, wish I hadn't. Took 4 visits to get something that looked half decent each time having to have a temporary crown drilled off and replaced (3 temporary crowns in total). The final one is not anywhere near as good as the old one there is a big gap between the crown and the tooth next to it, it is that thick I can't bite with it, I would have got a better one on the NHS. They also made me sign to say I was happy with it so I couldn't go back. It has been 10 months since I had it fitted, thought I might get use to it but with it being so thick I can't. Was so disappointed.

When I actually came for my appointment they were excellent. Everything was provided within the same appointment: x ray, full check in and professional cleaning by the hygienist. All the staff were friendly and very professional. I feel in safe hands and highly recommend this service

Julian Atkinson has been my dentist for over 25 years on and off now. I saw him as an NHS patient…read moreuntil my 18th birthday when I found I couldn't afford his services any longer. I've since had a few dentists but in June 2009 with a new dental insurance plan returned to Julian. His surgery is really rather inconvenient to get to if you don't live in the moorlands. It takes me about 40 minutes to get here from either Stafford where I work, or Newcastle where I live. His prices are undoubtedly high for dentistry but he is thorough in his work, I've never had a problem and I'm sure I've never paid for unecessary work. In fact Julian is BBC Radio Stokes on air dentist, so that should be an indicator of how good he is with all his patients.

An inspection by the Dentist lasted perhaps 5 minutes maximum AND this included taking an X-Ray. Told I needed to have the tooth taken out ( I did rather think that myself) I was back on the street and still in agony within one and a half hours. That is One Hour twenty five minutes waiting and the five minute consultation. Oh I forgot. I was also charged £40 something and told to expect a six to eight week delay before the extraction could be done. A week later I was back again and in perhaps more pain than before. The consultation was perhaps several minutes longer but with only a prescription for stronger antibiotics I still felt rather let down. I have now endured over thirty days of agony and still it continues..And still no appointment. Oh how I wished I had money. Star Rating...Minus five.0
