I was working in Albany GA on a project when all of a sudden my MBP Retina display went black. The Laptop wouldn't boot or post. I called Apple and they recommended Mac Business Systems. I called and they completely understood my level of urgency. I drove over to the Albany store arrived around 3PM in the afternoon. I was working at a client and had a report on the un accessible laptop that was created over the past two weeks. Spence was great. He was able to get the laptop back up so I could get the files needed for my report onto a flash drive and be able to present to my customer. Not only that he was able to allow me the time to get the necessary files but he was able to order and replace the parts in less than 24 hours. I had a call around 1PM that it was ready for pick up. These guys are lifesavers! Seriously! My computer's hard drive crashed on my this past Saturday and I spent alllll day on the phone with AppleCare to no avail, nothing I did was helping the situation so when Monday finally rolled around I brought my MacBook to the ONLY authorized place to fix it in Tallahassee. They called me a few hours after I brought it in letting me know the only thing they could do for my computer was replacing the hard drive, which I was fine with, everything had been deleted when I tried to reinstall the hard drive. Early today I got a call saying that my computer was ready picked up! Not even 24 hours later. I picked it up in perfect condition and its running great now. If I sent my computer to Apple it would have taken a week and a half to get it back, or I could drive 4 hours to the nearest Mac store..which was not an option. Very happy with these guys, super quick service, really nice guys..I definitely trusted my computer with them. Highly recommended! read more

I have dealt with Mac Business Systems twice. The first time was about a year ago when I took in my poor practically brand-new IMac for a diagnostic that it was indeed destroyed and would cost more to repair than to replace (faulty surge protector did not protect it from a lightening strike and it fried the Motherboard). They were extremely courteous and worked with my insurance company to get me a replacement mac as quickly as possible. The second time was earlier this year when my new MacBook Pro started making a strange grinding noise when the fan kicked on. Since I was in the vicinity of an Apple store when the sound originally started, I decided to use their Genius Bar for repairs. The Apple "Genius" kept my computer for 6 hours and told me that nothing was wrong. He swore that it was something to do with the timing of the fan and gave me some information on a keystroke combination that would reset the system and sent me on my way. Obviously, the sound started up again. However, since I was back in Tallahassee and the nearest Apple store is hours away, I took my mac book to Mac Business Systems. They checked out my computer and confirmed that the fan was faulty. So they replaced the fan and I have had no issues with my computer since I got the repair. My iPhone needed repair and although Greg had forgotten our appointment, Gregory was very helpful in attempting to fix my phone. In the end, there just wasn't a fix (it was frozen on an iTunes update and would not update or restore!) and so Gregory was most patient and accommodating in helping me order an upgrade. The people working here are very unprofessional. I recently bought a charger for my macbook air. It malfunctioned, I called AppleCare, and they told me that Mac Business Systems was the only business in Tallahassee where I could take my broken charger (still under warranty) to be exchanged with Apple. When I went there to have the faulty charger diagnosed, they had not updated their software...and so I got to go back. Today, after calling first and making sure that their software was right, they were finally able to take in my faulty charger. I tried to give them my receipt from the purchase of my charger, but they said that they did not need it. Now, they have emailed me saying that they need my receipt. I wish that they would just get it together. The series of interactions I have had with this business have been an enormous waste of time. One of the employees is polite; the rest are socially inept, rude, and truly unqualified to represent the Apple brand. read more

Received a diagnosis on 01/09/2015 of bad logic board but other problems may persist. 4. estimate was 329.95 for a logic board 6 month warranty excluding labor and other unforeseen issues after initial logic board repair 5. Called Apple arranged out of warranty Mail in repair on 01/10/2015 for 322.45 6. Received device repaired with the following item replaced Logic board 2.53GHz, Hard drive 2.5 500 GB serial data, Battery, MagSafe Board, Microphone, and bracket front on 01/14/2015 7 One year warrant included on parts and labor My opinion After my experience with Mac business systems I would never go there again. They were not timely in there diagnosis nor were they friendly or affordable. I mailed my MBP in from the comfort of my home via Fedex doorstep pickup and dropoff and received it fixed faster than Mac Business Systems took to diagnose my computer. I thought going to them in town would be easier and cheaper but them pissing me off with their terrible customer service and me calling apple was the best thing for me. I later found out that THEY ARE NOT AN AUTHORIZED APPLE REPAIR CENTER, they don't always use new parts and have to search for parts online when they are needed using aftermarket parts. Id just rather go mail in to apple get it quicker, charged less, better parts , better warranty, and better service. that just my opinion. They needed me to help them enter information into the computer when I was first checked in which does not give me great confidence in their ability to work with computers. They replaced the screen on my phone fairly quickly, which was good, however a few weeks later the glass started to peal up from the body of the phone and a large crack broke the screen despite having a life proof case on it. When I went back to get a refund they said they couldn't do anything about it because there was nothing wrong with the internal working of the phone. They didn't offer to replace the screen. I would never return here. Their craftsmanship is unacceptable and it cost $200 for it to simply break less than a month later. DO NOT COME HERE. Took my phone to be fixed at an Apple Store and it cost $108, which is half of what I paid before. They told me that the glass I had on it was not the proper glass which was why it broke after I had it replaced. They said not to trust third party vendors like this one. read more

The power button on my wife's iMac wasn't working properly which led to difficulties turning the machine on and unexpected powering down. We took it to a computer repair store in our town and waited 3 days for them to tell us they couldn't fix it. We sought out suggestions from friends that led us to Mac Solutions. Within a few hours of dropping it off they called with what we thought was a reasonable quote to fix it. I had brought up adding RAM to the computer and the cost of that was much less than expected. The repairs were done and the computer was running much better than before quicker than we expected. When my wife realized she left her mouse at the store after driving an hour to our hometown I called them and they overnighted it to us. Great service, fair prices and quality work are hard to find separately, much less all together. We will be back soon to have her iPhone screen replaced. Thanks guys! read more

I'm an IT director running a couple hundred Macs and servers, and MBS is a lifesaver. I *could* to all my repairs in-house, but they are so good, and so fast that it is a waste of my time and money to even try. They are great to work with, they repair stuff correctly the first time, and if it's one of those devilish problems that may take a while to diagnose, they just crank on it until it's solved. They're the only place i'd even consider taking personal or work Macs too, and now that they do iPad screen repair, they bring that same quality to that area as well. We just had one in to get a screen fix and I can't tell the difference between their work and one straight from Apple. read more

Awesome people. I came in looking for the Lion OS on a thumb drive. I needed it to upgrade since I can't get fast broadband where I live. They advised they can't sell Mac software since it has all moved to the App Store, but they offered the use of their extremely fast internet connection. I purchased Lion online and 40 minutes later it was downloaded over their super fast connection. Now I can make my own install on a thumb drive for my other Macs at home. I will not return to MBS because I believe that it used substandard non-OEM glass to repair my iPhone 5s. The screen started malfunctioning shortly after the repair, then cracked without being dropped two days later. I had a problem with my computer not charging. It would work fine, then not work for days, then start working again. I became frustrated with the problem and turned to Mac Business Systems. The computer would not charge when I brought it to them but started working while in the shop (which is typical). So, they charged me $88.00 and did absolutely nothing! I still have the same problem. I understand a diagnostic fee, but $88.00 is ridiculous! I also had a key that had fallen off but they would not put it back on because that "was not the service I paid for!"
