My dad purchased a cropped faux fur jacket from Maybel Love's website as a birthday gift for me. The jacket was advertised with clear photos and a video showing a waist-length crop and short faux fur. Shipping was stated to take 7-10 days, but the item did not arrive for nearly three weeks. Although the boutique claims to be based in Miami, the package shipped from China.
When the jacket arrived, it was not the item advertised. The fit, cut, and material were completely different from what was shown on the website. The jacket I received was extremely cropped, barely covering my chest, and had long faux fur instead of the short fur shown in the video. It looked nothing like the photos. The item also arrived without tags, and the only label inside the collar simply said "Fashion." In contrast, the jacket shown on Maybel Love's website clearly displays a hanging tag from an entirely different brand, further confirming that the item sent is not the same product advertised.
This is not a matter of personal preference or sizing. The product delivered is materially different from the one advertised.
My dad has contacted the company multiple times requesting a refund due to deceptive advertising and failure to deliver the item as described. Despite being provided clear evidence, Maybel Love has refused to acknowledge the discrepancy and will only offer store credit. Offering store credit for a misrepresented product is unacceptable.
This appears to be a dropshipping operation using photos and videos from another source while shipping a similar but different item from China. I was able to find the exact jacket I received listed on Alibaba for approximately $18. My dad paid $150 for this item through Maybel Love.
The lack of transparency, refusal to issue a refund, and clear mismatch between advertised and delivered products are extremely concerning. The company is difficult to deal with and significantly overpriced. I strongly recommend avoiding Maybel Love. read more
