There are 3 screens available and on champions league nights with simultaneous games on, it is quite awesome. 30 mins in and I've been standing the whole time, I start to feel the hate part of the relationship. The bar is frequently visited by loads of english speakers. You will her more english than german whilst here. My tips are to probably get in early and get a table if game day. Drink wise, you've got your standard irish drinks and a paddys ale is always available which is quite good. Also available are nut and pizza is available for purchase. I am yet to try the pizza but do you really want to eat pizza at a bar?

It's worth mentioning that they only open at 6pm, and for the first few hours it's likely to be dead. There are a few TVs dotted around, but I get this impression that not much sport is shown here. It's more of a music venue than a place to watch English football. From my perspective as someone living in Hamburg, the fact that this bar is in Harburg makes it what it is. When I visited for the first time the other day, one of the most noticeable things was how different the crowd is when compared what I'd expect in Hamburg. There were a lot of 18-20 year olds and then quite a lot of 40-60 year olds and not much in between. It's not a good thing or a bad thing, just an observation. Going back to the prices, a pint of Guiness or Kilkenny costs about EUR3.80. In Hamburg-proper this would be more like EUR4.50-EUR5. Quite a lot cheaper then. It's actually not very hard to get here either, just jump on the S3 or S31 trains in the city centre and you'll be in Harburg in about 20 minutes.

This is a real bar with really good music and authentic staff and a great selection of drinks. The bar often has DJ´s playing. One on my favorite bars in St. Pauli. It is a sort of insider tip if you want to experience the real St. Pauli spirit. It´s location just off the Reeperbahn is easy and ideal to reach. Hopfenstrasse has several other very authentic bars next to Gunclub. I will be back.

There are four bars placed next to each other and they offer everything from surf to punk rock music. The Gun Club often has DJs and the music they play is mostly rock and punk rock. But this fine Pub has managed to drag me back to Lüneburg on almost every single weekend so far, so I guess it still counts. What is wrong with you? You live in Hamburg! Town of the cheap beer and neat parties! Why would you go to Lüneburg just for a pub all the time?, you ask? Well, I shall tell you. The September is just right. You can walk in there as a complete stranger and feel welcome almost immediately. You get to sit around in one of the most comfy smokers' areas there is. You are supplied by the friendliest waitresses (and waiters) I know of. And last but not least: You get to hang around 'till the pub closes - which is about never. Seriously, they stay opened LONG. If you're not convinced yet, I suggest you stay home. I rest my case.
