Went there for the first time last night and was very satisfied with this cute restaurant! The atmosphere, food, beer, and service were all great and there's really nothing to complain it! My partner had the schnitzel and I tried the vegetarian Spätzle. Both were really tasty and my partner is still talking about how much he enjoyed his meal. Also, the little salad which comes with the meals were really good! Normally, in German restaurants the little side salads are nothing to write home about, but this one was an exception and very good :) What a great find! Would definitely return. read more

Cute place for drinks and dinner! We sat inside immediately and started off with a glass of riesling and a cider as we reviewed the menu, Looks like this place is more popular for brunch as the pictures in yelp show an impressive brunch spread. The menu is mainly german fare. With a lot of noodle dishes. There was a tapas section and so we ordered the the baked cheese with honey to start. For our entrees, we ordered the noodles with turkey breast and mushroom sauce. The starter - was really good! The combo of sweet and savory for the baked cheese on bread was a great way to start our meal and I'd highly recommend it. The starter can be quite filling so I think it's best to share this with 4 people. We were only 2 so we were definitely stuffed after finished the starter and our mains. For our entrees, we received the cooked pieces of turkey breast with the mushroom sauce over it and had a bowl of noodles that came separately. They cooked a 2 person of noodles for us so that was nice. So you add the noodles with the turkey and mushroom sauce as you see fit. It was really good but very filling. I had to get a little to go box as I think the cheese and noodles filled me up! Next to pay, this was the first time we actually had to get up and pay in the front. We were waiting around for a while trying to get the attention of our waitress only to have her politely tell us we are suppose to pay in the front. We were more used to paying at our table but here just remember to pay in the front or you'll be waiting around for awhile. I'd come back to try the brunch and enjoy a beer or two! read more

Die Eckkneipe "Edenhall" liegt in Winterhude und bietet seit 1984 hauptsächlich deutsche saisonale Hausmannskost sowie Tapas und ausgesuchte Biere vom Fass sowie eine kleine und feine Auswahl an Flaschenbieren an. In gemütlicher Atmosphäre genießt man hier sein Bauernfrühstück, hausgemachtes Sauerfleisch oder Roastbeef. An Kleinigkeiten werden spanische Tapas angeboten und des Weiteren gibt es eine regelmäßig wechselnde saisonale Wochenkarte. Immer mit einem vegetarischen Gericht zur Auswahl. Auf speziellen Wunsch werden auch gerne die Bratkartoffeln und das Bauernfrühstück vegetarisch zubereitet und auf Anfrage wird auch veganen Wünschen erfüllt. Die Getränkekarte ist umfangreich und enthält deutsche, irische und tschechische Biere, die durch Alkoholfreies, Weine, warme Getränke und weitere Spirituosen ergänzt werden. Es stehen immer wieder besondere Biere auf der Karte, wie Löwenbräu und Einbecker Mai-Ur-Bock. Ergenzt durch besondere Craft Flaschenbier. Das Edenhall ist aus der Liebe zur Geselligkeit, Kommunikation und guten Speisen sowie Getränken entstanden. Und diese Liebe hält sich nun schon in der zweiten Generation. Es sollte und soll ein Ort sein, der Raum für Begegnungen, Diskussionen, Freundschaften, aber auch Ruhe und bodenständigen Genuss bietet. Normal und für jeden, nach Berliner Vorbild, egal wie sich Winterhude entwickelt. Für die Nachbarschaft und für Angereiste, mit Freude an geselligen Zusammentreffen und ohne, mit und ohne großem Geldbeutel. Wichtig ist uns nur der Wunsch der Gäste mal raus zukommen. Bei uns ist jeder gleich willkommen. Und mit Sicherheit gibt es kein Lokal in Winterhude, das seit nunmehr 30 Jahren in der Hand einer Familie ist.

Schon oft sind wir am Edenhall vorbei gekommen und dieses Mal wollten wir es endlich ausprobieren - das war aber wohl leider das erste und letzte Mal für uns. Die Einrichtung ist ganz urig und gemütlich. Das Essen haben wir auch als lecker empfunden, allerdings hatten zwei der vier Personen von uns den gesamten Abend + Nacht Magenprobleme (natürlich werden Bratkartoffeln etc. gebraten, aber diese trieften in Fett). Die Kellnerin war sehr freundlich und bemüht, während der Inhaber des Restaurants sich mit seinem Verhalten leider ins Aus geschossen hat. Wir haben lediglich gefragt - und das rein aus Interesse und nicht als Vorwurf! - wieso man dort nicht mit Karte bezahlen kann. Das hat eine große Diskussion ausgelöst verbunden mit einer unfassbaren Unfreundlichkeit. In Zukunft werden wir um dieses Restaurant dann lieber weiterhin einen Bogen machen. read more

Tradition mit extrem guter Küche . Neben den besten Bratkartoffeln mit selbst gemachter Remoulade und zartem Roastbeef gibt es eine Wechselnde Monatskarte. Thematisch zur Jahreszeit oder Ereignissen angepasst. Der Februar gehörte dem Valentintag mit besonderen Vegetarischen Gerichten.
