I would have given 3 stars, but the bartender was non-existent and the waitress running drinks can't make items listed on the menu. Google it if you don't know how. This is a tough review to write on a couple of levels. Better in that Fred's treated us well, but…read morethey missed the mark on a couple of fronts. Be more like a 3.5 from our point of view as the good was the excellent green salad and the light smoke on our half chicken. The bad was the dry chicken, most definitely overcooked by more than a little bit. The pierogi's were stuffed with potato, and dry to the point that they were almost like little tanks. You had to use a knife to cut them in half, and the accompanying onions might have been better left in the kitchen. The decor is pool hall dark, which is ok, because that is what it is. The place was pretty full of locals on a Sunday early evening. Our server was quite attentive, but the food came out quite slowly, the mains for sure took longer than they should have. Pricing seemed quite reasonable to us, but where we live eating out has become quite a luxury. Would we go back, maybe, but there are still plenty of places to explore in Grand Prairie prior to doing so.

Like most of the new social houses that popped up. Kind of a neat ambience. The service was great, fast and friendly. The menu is large with some neat options like the rainbow trout I had. Drink menu also great. My plate looked amazing. However it was bland tbh. It was good and looked great but I did find not the most flavourful. I would for sure go back and try something else though. Overall a great place

We've gone to Sawmill many times, and every time the food had been delicious. It is always warm, a versatile menu to choose from, and very well cooked. The steak is amazing; worth every penny. But every item on the menu we have tried has been amazing. The dining area is romantic and elegant. Great ambiance! The lounge area is not too loud and perfect for going out with friends. Or even a first date. The staff is fantastic! We have mostly gotten different wait staff and each and every one has been better than the last. Lastly, you will feel like you got your money's worth here. The food, the music, the ambiance. They do a great job!
