There are a lot of options for junk pickup but we used Martin 5 Hauling and we're beyond satisfied. First, When I requested bids from places, based on pictures I'd posted, this was the only company that was able to give me a firm price instead of just an estimate. On top of that, they were one of cheapest and responded right away. And they were extremely professional. They were also available the following morning which was perfect. After the junk removal was scheduled, they even sent an invoice/receipt and a very professional message, explaining everything the price included (gas, removal, disposal, & disposal fee). They also were about 30 min behind schedule because the first job took longer, but they kept in touch & communicated right away. Lastly, it was impressive how quickly they removed all our junk and they were able to take everything we wanted removed. They were friendly and got straight to work, and even cleaned up the debris surrounding our junk pile. They definitely earned our business for any future junk removals & I would highly recommend them for anyone needing furniture and/or junk removal. The guy asks for photos of the junk. We send him photos. He asks for a deposit, we send deposit. He gets there and says he can't get up the driveway, he can't take the stuff. (Why not charge more for binging stuff down the driveway?) He returns half of the deposit, says he's keeping the rest for gas and time. Excuse me? You didn't ask a thing about access, the driveway, nor tell us the size or type of vehicle you had. That's YOUR bad, not ours. Is this truly his business? Keep deposits and never do the work? Travis provided a great service cleaning out a mobile home that had a lot of hoarded stuff. I shopped around for several quotes and Travis beat the other bids. He was up front with me that the cost might increase if they had to do more loads than originally anticipated so I was prepared for a possible increase. They needed five trailer loads instead of the estimated three and had to come back for a second day. Even with the extra cost, they still came in under the other bids.
