Very clean rooms and comfy beds. Will stay here again next time I come to town. Great price and staff were great.

If I could do a lower star I would!! On first night of check in, there was sewage in the bathroom floor. IMMEDIATELY informed the front desk, they gave us a TOWEL for it, and said they would check it out the following morning. It was late, and we said alright, expecting it to be taken care. The following day i was in the room the full day and no one came to check on it, but had plumbers in the two rooms to the left of the our room. our Room was never once touched by house keeping, and we had to go to the front office for new towels DAILY after they made sure we brought the appropriate numbers of DIRTY towels back to them. we had already given them close to 500$ for the stay plus 50$ deposit, and a pet deposit of $125. needless to say, we were broke after paying all of that and had no means to go anywhere else. We booked through booking which has given us the run around since then. Finally today booking says that we need to contact the property our selves. So we did, and we're straight up lied to about OUR experience by the so called "property manager" Val or bal, whatever her name was. She said we NEVER ONCE complained on the property, then proceeded to say that they knocked and knocked and knocked and knocked (her words not mine) on our door the day after our complaint to see if we wanted to change rooms. They said we REFUSED housekeeping in our room, all lies and honestly disgusting to be to told that your experience just didn't happen. The "property manager" is a very rude lady. I would not stay at this hotel!! They lied to booking .com as well, ignoring their calls until finally we reached out to the property today. if we could have changed hotels at the time we would have!!!! read more

We were travelling across the United States, and had arrived in Searcy. We took a shot at the M Star Hotel after looking around at various hotels in the area, and it was about what we expected for the price. We did have some issues at first, as the room we had requested should have had two beds, but the one we got had only one. After going back to the office, we got things straightened out, though there was a weird charge-back situation for the room... apparently their system doesn't allow for them to simply change a room... oh no, they have to do a charge-back on the card for the wrong room, then charge you for the new room. I was fully prepared to fight the problem, as I had read Misty M's review about something very similar to this problem, but it all turned out correct and I was not double charged. The room was fine. We were at an end unit which was nice in terms of noise. It is certainly a budget hotel, but our room was clean and we didn't have any problems, so it worked for us. You get what you pay for. read more

This place was atrocious. I had to go through three different rooms because all of the deadbolt locks were hanging by stripped screws. Loud music from other guests was disruptive. And the Amenities inside the room were hard to be believed: greasy, stains all over the sheets and pillowcases, small bugs, long hairs stuck to the blanket between the sheets, capped off by cigarette burns in multiple layers of the bed linens. I had to demand the internet site I booked through give me a refund despite their policy because it was unhygenic and I felt unsafe. All these issues were discovered by me at 11pm, and despite multiple attempts to find a room with a functional deadbolt, not ONE semblance of apology from either of the 2 adults working the front desk. So thankful I finally made the hard decision to demand a refund and find a new hotel, despite it being 1:00am. No nightly rate is worth this experience, no matter how inexpensive. read more

We couldn't be more pleased with M-Star. My wife and I traveled from Dayton, OH, to Searcy in one night. Because we needed to check-in early (we anticipated our arrival at 4AM CDT and check-in wasn't until 3 or so), we had to book 2 nights. Upon our arrival, the attendant (her name was Pamela) informed us that she had just charged our card since we were two hours late. She apologized and then proceeded to attempt to bill us for only one night since we arrived so "late" in the morning. They let us check in 6 hours early and only billed us for 1 night! On top of that, she contacted the housekeeping team and told them to stay away from our room so we could sleep. We found our room to be very spacious. It was clean and well stocked with towels and amenities. It was cooled by a wall-mount A/C that was digital, which allowed for easy climate control. Wi-Fi was free and useful, although not powerful by any means. And the continental breakfast was sufficient for a quick bite before hitting the road. Overall, we couldn't be more pleased. For a very inexpensive rate, this was a great hotel. If you don't need the luxuries like room service, jacuzzi baths, valet parking, etc., check out M-Star. Our stay was, to say the least, overwhelmingly and unexpectedly amazing. read more

This is the perfect basic motel for a quick one night stay. Affordable, clean, comfortable, small and pet friendly. Don't stay if you want a big complimentary breakfast. It met our needs well and we will stay again. read more

Very disgusting! There were used syringes around the trash can. The air conditioning unit in the room Didn't work. The staff was very rude I asked to change rooms it took 45 minutes before they put me into a room that was even worse if that's even possible. Will never go back. read more

For the price, it's supposed to be the best in town. Well, for the price, first of all, customer service is great. They were very accommodating and thoughtful. I'll give them that. I had problem with tv remote, they remedied that right away. The carpet was damp, they said it was just shampooed. That's nice to know but unfortunately there wasn't enough time for it to be dry. The lack of ventilating makes the room very musty-smelling. One suggestion for overnight guests with pets, make sure the rooms have tile flooring instead of carpet. And yes, I would stay here again only if the floor is tile. The bedsheets/blankets were old, it had cigarette burns but they were clean tho. read more

Don't be scared off by the appearance of this place - it looks more like a motel and for the price, you will be super surprised at how clean and well equipped it is. I was very comfortable here, only having booked it bc everything else was sold out. There is no pool, but they have hot breakfast, good internet, nice tv w cable, fridge, and microwave. Stayed there when we where dropping our son off at Harding University. This is a very convent location and the owners are awesome, the nicest people. The price is great. We have already booked or stay for Family weekend. read more

It wasn't a bad little motel. It was right off the highway, and it's one of those little drive-up places that you park right outside the room. The room was serviceable, the beds were comfortable, the tv was fine. Only one gripe, and I'm sure they would have changed my room if I would have asked, is the ac unit/fan in the room squeaked so loudly we couldn't turn it on. It was late, and I was tired, so I slept with it off. The room was under 60, so if you're looking for a comfortable, basic night's sleep, you can't go wrong here. read more

If I could give a zero I would. I normally only write reviews for places I like, but these people were so horrible and rude I have to leave a negative review. We reserved and paid for our reservation only to arrive and were told they had not received our reservation and that their rate had changed. And now they only had a smoking room. Wait, what? How did they know what we paid if they hadn't received our reservation?!? Or know that we requested a non-smoking room?!? Then they told us ALL of the other hotels in town were booked (not true...we got a MUCH better one for about $10 more). They were not only ugly and rude to us, but also to the person who called on our behalf about what other information they needed to confirm our reservation. Do not give these people your money. Greedy AF and not nice! read more

It got one star because I had to put something. It is set up like a motel not hotel which is ok. But When I arrived with my mother and 17 year old daughter, all females, they proceeded to place us in too a room that was secluded in the very back corner with the door facing the wall to the building for the next set of rooms. The place was full of construction workers who where hanging out outside of their rooms and kid you not watched our every move. It freaked us out a bit. So we went back to the office to share our concerns of not feeling comfortable, so they offered us a different with just one bed. It was all they had left. Problem, it was just 3 doors down from the previous one. Not fixing the issue at all. They were very rude when I addressed my concerns and refused to offer a refund so that we could go elsewhere. So we locked ourselves in the first room for the night. The room doesn't warrant the current overall 4 1/2 S. Beds where clean but sat on raw unfinished handmade 2x4 wood frame. Shower was the size of a 1/2 coat closet and shower curtain looked like it was cut to fit. There was food in the very old phone and the ironing board fell apart and I had to fix it to use. When we checked out earlier than want I informed them of the issues and the wife and husband both yelled at me when I spoke of my concerns and customer service. Today when going over my CC statement and bank statement I was charged twice. Once by Hotwire then again by the MOTEL. Since it had been sometime from when I stayed I knew they had already received my payment through Hotwire. So, I called the motel to get a refund. Bee proceeded to yell yes yell at me and said I needed to call Hotwire. I called Hotwire and they confirmed they paid the motel then called the motel. He said it would just take a couple of minutes but took longer. The rep got back on the phone to let me know that they were contesting it and needed me to fax them proof. So I was back to dealing with these unpleasant owners. I was charged more than what Hotwire charged. After sending the information I did receive a picture of a receipt for a refund short of what I was charged. During all of this I called the MStar in Little Rock in hopes of talking to some who could help. They were very pleasant but could not help because they are both independently owned. read more
