This is a large health care practice located on the fifth floor in Suite 500. I have been receiving care here for decades. When my primary care doctor retired, I asked her to leave me in good hands and that she did. My office experience has always been good for my family and I. I never feel rushed and have plenty of time to have a dialogue about all of my health concerns. I am not just a number. The front desk staff, nurses, and formerly the phlebotomist are all so attentive and professional. Unfortunately, the phlebotomy services have now been consolidated to the first floor lab. The staff always works well coordinating my prescription refills with my chosen pharmacy to ensure that I don't run out. The MyChart services is an excellent way to communicate with my doctor. It easily accessible through an app in the palm of my hand. It also contains my lab results, discharge documents and procedure reports. There is valet and plenty of self-parking available. There is also a pharmacy and ATM on the 1st floor.

I am so happy that I was finally able to get him as my PCP. My old one was good but I saw him more…read moresince they share a family practice with many others. But he insisted that I only see him each month since my help is complex with multiple problems that require the opposite procedures that seems to confuse too many of the specialists at Henry Ford Medical. They just seem to wash their hands of me when I tell them we need a plan B and send me back to Dr. Childs to handle. He really listens and likes it that I bring him medical research I find since I have been a librarian for 38 years. He will order tests that should have been ordered by those specialists. He even talks about Eastern Medicine when Western isn't helping. I have been weakening for over a year and losing muscle strength in all my muscles including my organs. I will admit at times it is hard to get an appointment quickly but I usually do get my monthly appointment. When I message him, I hear back quickly from his nurse and she will get me in with another doctor in the office but he has finally say over that now. Henry Ford Medical seems to think any doctor can read your history and give you the care you need. Most people that works but some of near the end of life with lots of problems, you need an understanding doctor that cares about you and wants to help live as comfortable with a real life. I highly recommend him even if it makes it harder for me to see him.
