That said, the right answer should have been a broader quote range conditional on assessing the item. That's not poor business, it's bad business and based on my experience I would suggest looking at alternative scrap yards. This one acts like it's the market leader that dictates prices and disregards more realistic market prices to the detriment of the consumer.

For three weeks in a row, our trash was not picked up--without any explanation or communication. When I called customer service to address the issue, I was met with unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. Instead of helping, the representative raised their voice and was dismissive, essentially telling me they didn't care about resolving the problem. To make matters worse, when the driver finally did come, they deliberately threw our trash can in front of our driveway, blocking it, instead of placing it back where it was left on the sidewalk. This felt intentional and completely unacceptable. Due to the repeated missed pickups and poor customer service, I canceled my service. I would not recommend this company to anyone and will be advising others to avoid them as well. Overall, this has been a terrible experience. They are TRASH!!!
