Over the last year I've gone back and forth deciding if I wanted to finally buy a home. Native Central Floridian I wanted to keep it home but didn't know where. I work centrally and could call any area home. So I messaged Daniel and it was like a poof of smoke happened and suddenly I'm a home owner. Hear me out on this. This might have been the biggest, easiest life making events a person goes through in their human living existence and Daniel made it seem like it was brunch on a beautiful Sunday morning. Will there be issues? I'm sure. I had them. But it was always forward moving. My schedule is odd, well so is Daniel and he simply just makes things happen. I like that. I've been extremely disappointed with the quality and response from Davila. We've had numerous…read morewarranty issues over the 1.5 years of moving into our new build - the most concerning being foundational cracks in our various shower wall and floor tiles, which occurred multiple times and took months for Davila to properly fix. Now they refuse to do any work unless I formally go through the 2-10 Warranty service - which when my plumbing started to get backed up due to an incorrect septic electrical system set-up, they would not do anything until 2-10 gave them a work order. I waited a week where I tried reaching out to 2-10 (no one responded) before I couldn't push it off any more (the plumbing started to back up everything at our house) - the plumbers and septic companies that I brought in confirmed the electrical system wasn't wired correctly and fried the whole system. I had to get the pump replaced and all three of my tanks sumped out due to this failure. Davila is refusing to take financial responsibility for this (this cost me $2,000 out of pocket in repairs.. for a new build house!), saying they can't reimburse me for outside vendors - well, what else was I supposed to do? Let all the plumbing come back into my house and cause a health risk while I waited for 2-10 to send someone over, when I had no idea when that would have been? Sounds like a very proper response for an issue caused by the builder. So please, please look elsewhere if you want a quality build. I've learned my lesson and am considering proceeding with small claims court to hold them accountable.
