This company is very cheap with their workers. I highly recommend not going with this service…read moreprovider because all they care about is their bottom line. Their wages aren't competitive and they do not value their labourers. They promise a wage, but then they do not ensure that at least a minimum will be paid to their employees. Example : worker is promised X wage. But then the real factor is how many rain days are in a week, or the religious holidays that aren't paid, or the simple fact that there isn't enough hours to provide for even a workers basic lifestyle. Ok the service that they are offering are mostly covered by subcontractors. So I ask you : Why not just save yourself and call the guy doing the work instead of a company whos primary purpose is to profit off the worker, then never call the worker again once they find a cheaper way to carry out a job. My overall recommendation is find a company that is more service orientated , not so focussed on how much they can make off of you and your properties. Yes they have been around for X number of years, but how many workers did there job but got fired so this company never had to pay any benefits to them : fired before the 3 month probation.

As we where doing a full basement Reno, we didn't want to take any risk. We decided to waterproof. After calling multiple companies, we went with Royal Work Corp. They where licensed and offered a 25 year warranty. We wanted someone we could trust, rather than some unknown contractor who didn't have a garentee behind their work. On September 3, 2022, I entered a contract with Wendy, representing JP Lucky, for the framing of a…read morecustom home in Stouffville. Throughout the construction process, Wendy frequently changed the contractors assigned to the project--ultimately involving four to five different teams. I was present on-site regularly and personally observed these changes. The subcontractors engaged by JP Lucky often delivered substandard work. Once deficiencies were identified, JP Lucky would dismiss the existing team and hire new subcontractors to continue. Although I fulfilled my obligations under the contract, JP Lucky failed to complete the project on time, and the work completed was defective. Due to these issues, I submitted a claim for adjudication through the Ontario Dispute Adjudication for Construction Contracts (ODACC), Case No. XXXX. On December 18, 2024, ODACC issued its Determination, providing copies to both the Respondent and me. The Determination ordered the Respondent to reimburse me $XXX,XXX (including HST) and $X,XXX (including HST), representing 50% of the adjudication fee. Despite my repeated demands, JP Lucky has failed to comply with the Determination or remit the required payment. While Wendy and JP Lucky initially present themselves as amicable and reliable, their conduct reveals a failure to act in good faith. Despite receiving payment for services, they have refused to return funds for work that was either unfinished or materially deficient, thereby disregarding the interests of their clients.
